I owned one of these straighteners for about 5 years before it finally was laid to rest. I used it almost every day on clients while trying to start up my own salon, it worked fantastic. I now own a few Chi irons, which are the best you can have if it's in your budget. For every day use on a non professional level, I would use this product. It smooths hair easily at a high heat, is cool to the touch, and includes boar bristle add on comb to make hair extra shiny and silky. For it's quality and performance, and price as well, it can't be beat. Who knows, I just might buy another. :)
One of the reviewers here brought to my attention that I won't be getting the straightener in the photo and they were right. The product codes are the same but the newer model plates are pink not orange, there is no comb or brush attachment, and a different looking on and off switch...but still 2"flat iron with the same quality as the old one and does a great job (my hair is like a lion's mane and you can control the heat and it always comes out straight and soft.) When I went to check this out at the store and compare product codes to see that the old model has become the newer model, I was also able to get a better discount at the store. They only charged me $17.97. For something I'm replacing that lasted me 4 years , it truly was a great buy.
The only flat iron that will straighten my hair is this one it is great,doesn't scorch hair even heat all the time it is on, and the best part about it perfectly straightened hair I love this iron a lot and this is the second one 2yrs everyday use. My old one has passed away and I went to Wal-Mart and picked out a different one it doesn't straighten my hair very good at all I have kinks in my very kinky hair with this iron silky smooth hair.Five Stars all the way around, for me always use some kind of heat protector keeps hair from damage which you can get at Wal-Mart as well.
I love this straightener. I have long, thick hair, and could never find a straightener that did the job right. This straightener tames any mess in about 10 min. It's a great product
This product above is awesome. When i first got it, i was sketchy. But the first time i used it i was amazingg. I love this product. And i have a little bit below the shoulder length hair, that is frizzy, wavy/curly. And this straightener gets it straight, silky, smooth, and it even flows ! i was amazed about this product. (my daughter stolee it from me) and i had to go by a new one. They last very long. cause i have had the one i have that my daughter for over 2 years and it still works the same... she said ! I would most definetly recommend this product to someone with frizzy and wavy/curlly hair . because it worked for me and my daughter and i now/ hope it will work for you. I first bought this product about 4 years ago and used it for about a year until it was stolen out of my car. I then bought another one and my sister snatched it a year later! After that I decided to try a tourmaline ceramic straightener and I didn't like it as much so I returned it and got my money back. Then I dropped a hundred bucks on a Wigo straightener from the beauty supply store and it worked the same as this one, so I returned it and bought this one again to save my money. Yesterday I ruined the plug and my hubby offered to buy me a Chi for Christmas, but I told him I'd rather just get the same one and save the hundred bucks, so I bought it again today. This is my favorite beauty product and I can't live without it!!!
This Conair straightener is the best I've ever had! Five years ago, when I was a senior in high school, I bought my first Conair hair straightener; this exact one actually. The straightener was wonderful! My full, thick, poufy hair became smooth and sleek in a matter of minutes with this straightener – it's so easy to use! The smoothness was not only extremely professional looking but also lasted all day through heat, humidity, rain, etc. A few months ago, this straightener died, and I decided I wanted to get a real professional one since I straighten my hair everyday. I ended up paying over $200 for a top-quality straightener and absolutely hated it! My hair is very thick, and I would go over the same piece of hair 4-5 times before it got smooth and, after a few hours, it was poufy again from wear. I NEVER had problems like this from my $25 Conair straightener, so I went online, found the exact same one, and ordered it immediately. I have been using it for over a month and loving it more and more every time I use it. The phrase, “you get what you pay for,” definitely doesn't apply to this particular product; it's terrific!
Works on every type of hair! I have extremely thick hair and it works wonders! I've been trying to find a staightener that actually works on my hair and I found it! Well... really one of my black friend has this same straightener so she recomended it to me.

The picture in the photo is not what I received. I have been looking for this discontinued flat iron with comb attachment for several weeks and was so excited to have found it on Walmarts website that I ordered two! I received them within two days and they were not what was in the picture, they substituted them for the new model. Needless to say I drove right to Walmart and returned them. Very disappointed the picture and description are incorrect. When I went back to Walmarts website this flat iron was not even on it anymore, however the picture of what I was supposed to get is shown on this review.
