It showed up in good conduction, fed ex does good, I boxed in the window like you would through the wall, a lot of work, but less than if you made a new a new hole in the wall, The room was 83 for tem. Started it up, less than 5 min. it drop to 79. toke off for about a hour and back. checked the tem. it was 65.5
Definitely a process to set it up, but that's expected with a larger AC . Small dent made it harder to pull apart but we got it ! Would buy again
This window AC works perfect, I have a 1500 sqft house and it's keeping my house cool. Our temperature right now is 115 degrees and inside the house we dont feel the heat at all. I would totally recommend it. We love it. Super easy to install as well.
I use this to cool my large living room and dining room and I am not disappointed! It is a little noisy but no more than the much more expensive 8,000 BTU I bought last year for my upstairs. I very seldom write reviews but I felt the need to do so on this. I have always spent more on window a/c units because I thought it meant better. I won't make that mistake again!!!!
So I ordered this ac unit while I was out of town. I just got back in and today am installing it. I take it out of the package and find it has some decent sized dents in it. That's not good for me. I don't like spending close to 500 bucks to get damaged merchandise. Now I am going to try and install it and see if the mechanics of this unit are fine or not. I'll update after install.
So far this unit cools very well and is very quiet. 5 stars for cooling ability and quietness. However, the installation was so difficult that it loses a star with me. This is the third upstairs unit I have installed in the past 11 years, and it was by far the most difficult. It took me and my 26 year old son 2.5 hours to install this. You MUST have two people to install this unit. If you are installing in a second floor window, you MUST also have a ladder that will let you easily get to the outside of the unit after installation is 99% complete to finish the installation. In my case, my 14 foot ladder was just tall enough for me to reinstall the 4 screws that make up the final installation step. Also, the instructions are vague in parts, with poor illustrations. This made a difficult installation even harder.
It took some time to put it in. Not having the right size window and having to frame it in with wood. So making a stand for it to set on and in closeing it in and painting it before you could use it. but it was worth it. When we started it up it ran quiet and put out cool air. You see I had one that smelled from who knows what and me having a breathing problems from getting sick with the viris we just had in the air and having to spend a long streach in the Hospital getting me ne meds in order to breath and also had the understanding that I was also to change out the Air conditioner as well to get cleaner air. So we did but it has ben costly and a lot of work.
First one came damaged, took 3 weeks for replacement, and replacement had minor damage , the unit it's self is great , shipping is a joke , I will be boycotting fedex , sorry walmart but this whole order did not go smooth at all , yes I'd recommend this air conditioner but not the way I bought it
When I received it it was clearly dropped more than once it dose still work but I had to pound the dents out and the front plastic is cracked. Called and was told I would have to return it and wait a nother copple weeks after the return was received
a day before its a year old quit blowing cold air. wasn't installed for 2 weeks after I bought it.
