I need my drink ice cold and i don't like to water it down with ice. I normally keep it in the freezer but from time to time I need to get a new bottle. I put it into the Cooper Cooler and it gets is so cold so fast that that I can hardly touch the bottle with my bare hands. The unit is almost silent but the noise it does make is like a waterfall.
Works great and fast. Were a little worried about whether the spinning would cause drinks to explode, but it worked great on a beer. No explosions. Made it very cold too. Would definitely recommend.
The only drawback in this product is that it won't allow a 'fat' bottle to rotate because the sides of the bottle touch the icing compartment. The bottle it did not accommodate was a little larger than the usual wine bottle but it was not an unusual shape ( actually a Kendall - Jackson chardonnay). For most wines it works wonderfully well - cooling as advertised within 5 minutes. I would check the interior dimensions for fit with the usual wines you drink before purchasing. I suspect there are some champagnes that won't fit .
I bought this for a gift for a person who likes chilled wine. Nowhere did it say you have to add ice to the machine and water. It was easier to chill the wine on the back porch. Maybe in the summer if I have enough ice for the machine I would try again. Stick to your fridge.
