These are simply the cutest plates! I also have a set of the Memphis corelle dishes and the colors match perfectly. The dots are not perfect, but that adds to the fun of the plates. I have a yelllow and red retro 40s kitchen and these go great in there. I also have a full set of colorful Fiestaware and these also match all of the Fiesta colors beautifully! Mostly, I love the fact that with corelle ware you do not have to worry about the durability for kids. The plates are very thin, but they are extremely durable.
I chose Corelle because I was tired of breaking and chipping dishes made of china. I wanted something that was affordable, but didn't want stoneware because it chips easily, plus I was looking for a modern style. Corelle Hot Dots surpassed my expectations, as the colors are more brilliant than I expected, and the stoneware mugs match exactly. (I had expected the colors and appearance of the mugs to differ, since they are not made of Corelle laminated glass.) I love this set! It is very attractive and practical for a casual, modern household. The Wal-Mart associate who helped me pick up my order said it in one word: cute!
I bought this Corelle set for my grandchildren (6, 9, and 10) who live with me. They have "graduated" from plastic dishes!! Both the two girls and the boy liked the pattern, and it works for breakfast and dinner. As a matter of fact, I am going to order another set since we use the dishes for two meals!! The plates and bowls stack neatly on a shelf the children can reach themselves. They use the mugs for cocoa after school and have their own mug rack in the dining room.
I wanted a second set of dishes for everyday use. My other dishes are more formal, and these are great to have for extras. I also think they are fun for kids. I bought Corelle because of the name. My mom had this brand when we were growing up and still has them. They are so durable! The only thing I didn't like was the bowls don't have the dots on them, but I knew that when I bought them. Not a big deal...
I ordered this for my cousin who just graduated high school. This is perfect for a first dish set. Durable and cute. I wanted something that was inexpensive and microwave safe and this is. It also shipped very fast. I would 100% recommend this product.
I bought these plates for my toddler. They are perfect for his food and he doesn't have to eat on plastic or melamine plates which could leach out toxic chemicals. They are also very durable. He has alreay thrown a couple on the floor...no chips, cracks or breaks!
I had looked on Target website for this same set of Corelle dishes but their reviews talked about how vibrant the colors weren't when they received the product. I was so pleased when I received my dishes from Walmart and the colors were exactly as shown on the website AND at a great price. I like a more contemporary, modern look and this fit exactly what I wanted. Thanks, Walmart, for also carrying the more unusual product.
I had a set of multicolored dinnerware that said you could place them in the microwave. The first day I got them I put one in the microwave and it exploded. I needed to get something that was alot lighter then the ones i had and that could match all my colorful kitchen utensils and glassware ect and that could go in the microwave, stove and fridge and this was the best match. LOVE THIS ITEM!!!!!!
I love how bright the colors are in this pattern! I have a RED kitchen and it is hard to find true red things to put in there. These are perfect! I bought these for the rep that Corelle has and so far so good! The plates look thin as you can see the outline of your hand thru the plate but I'm happy with them.
I just had this set delivered,and i must admit i am having second thoughts.These have got to be the thinnest plates i have ever seen, i held one up to the light and was able to see my finger through it.Honestly i have used disposable plates that were thicker.The dots are bold and beautiful and with a 3 year old break and chip resistant is a good thing,i just wish i didnt order two sets.
