My son-in-law is in the united staes armed forces. In order for him to see his twiin boys we have to be able to get up and go and travel. This play yard is a god send on the ease of set -up, break-down and durabilty of travel.
Very happy with the playard!
Out of box set up and using in 10 minutes. Took two tries to take down and fold up.
I wanted a simple, inexpensive playpen. This is my third baby so it only took about one minute to setup. Simply snap the sides into the lock position and push down the middle, add pad,and then add the baby. The padding was a little bit thicker than I expected. The last one I purchase, before this one, was a graco in 2007 and the padding was horrible and you could feel all of the ridges. My son has been in it for about 20 minutes now and he is already sleeping. And he is very fussy about where he sleeps. The wheels are only located on one side which is normal and comes handy when vaccuuming. I saw there were complaints about closing the playpen, which I haven't tried yet. As i can see there aren't any buttons to press on the sides. I had one before that you had to first remove the pad, and then pull the black cord a little to be able to unlock the sides. Will try later, wish me luck because I opened it at someone elses home hahaha!!
I read the reviews before I went and got the playpen, the price was right and I knew there were only a few reviews and the majority was good. I am on my second child my first is 11 so I had nothing. My youngest is 6 months and likes to be able to roll around. I had the playpen out of the box and set up within 3 min tops. It was easy, but I had an idea of how to set one up. If you read the directions for first time users I can see it taking longer. FOr the Value, it is a nice playpen very basic with a nice neutral design.
The color(tan and black plaid) is actually nicer than I expected, it goes well in my livingroom, and actually even captured my baby's interest, with its simple geometrics and contrasting colors. It has 2 wheels, which makes it easy to reposition in our living room. It was easy for me to open and close, although I can see how if one was not very familiar with playpens, it could be frustrating. The catch/button to collapse it is easy for me(a person with joint problems), and not easy for a child to do it accidently. It is as sturdy as any other playpen I have purchased for more money. I like that my baby son has not accidently bumped himself on the supporting bars like my other children have on previous playpens. I've been using it for him for about 2 months now, and it shows no signs of wear, and is easy to wipe clean from baby spit up thus far. I reccomend this playpen.
This play pen is absolutely wonderful!!! This is our 3rd baby, and our 2nd play pen. We gave the other one to Grandma for her house and bought this for ours. It was EASY to set up. If you have never set a play pen before, read the directions before starting as you will have extreme difficulty setting it up. Not just this one...any! This sets up the same way as our Graco did. Super easy to set up, very nice quality, awesome price! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
i usually read up on the reviews before i buy them but this time i didnt really have the time to so i just spontaneously ran in to this playard.. i brought this cause im planning on traveling this summer n need something simple to just be on the go with..As i struggled to figure out how to assemble this thing on my own it was no success and the problem was is that its not hard to put up,you really just have to read the instructions carefully before trying to unfold the playard..i kind of felt really stupid after i read it carefully in how easy it was to just read it instead of just assuming this is a piece of cake. as a matter of fact it is, but all playards are a slight different.. but besides the struggle its pretty good in my behalf now that i know how to put it together lol..
when i set it up, it appeared smaller than our kids playyards. after measuring, it is only 38.5 inches long, not 43 as advertised on this page.
Worst PnP we have bought. It is very easy to set up however it does not like to come down. The side rails get stuck and only half will fold, the bottom gets stuck and locks up so you can't even undo the rails. The mattress has also developed a roll in it after maybe 4/5 "travels". I cannot get it to come out for the life of me. I'm cutting my losses on it and already bought a new one. You definitely get what you paid for. We have an Eddie Bauer with all the bells and whistles and it's fantastic, just very large, not good for travel. I just ordered the Graco Kensley to replace the Cosco so hopefully it works out for me!
