I love this train set, the tracks measure 52" in diameter and was perfect for my Christmas village. It was a little larger than and expected but everything fit together perfectly. The tallest piece is about 4.5". The train goes forward and reverse, the headlights go on, it blows a whistle and smoke comes out of the top. The smoke runs out eventually and cannot be replaced. That's what it said on the box. I haven't run out yet but have only used it for a few minutes at a time. Compared to the other Christmas trains out there, this is well worth the money. I'm thinking about getting another one to place around the Christmas tree. I totally love this train set.
Great product! My 5 yr old loved the train. It has the choo choo sound, steam, and the siren of the real train. It's a good buy!
WORK BETTER THAN EXPECTED
The train is loud, the smoke stinks and it falls off the track easy. Don't waste your money on it. We ended up returning it.
This train is quite large, and the engine and cars are too long for the curve of the track, so it has to be balanced perfectly to sit on the tracks, is therefore very difficult for children to do, and it derails at the slightest bump. Otherwise, the train seems to work well, although I'm not sure about the supposed smoke feature? I wouldn't buy it again, and will be looking for a new one next Christmas, which is a shame given the price.
We purchased this train set to surprise our toddler on Christmas morning, but when we took it out the box on Christmas eve it was a disaster. The tracks were plastic, so they didn't set flat on the floor. The entire train is plastic and it kept getting hung up and the train would stop but the motor would try to run. Also, the smoke feature didn't work at all. We were so bummed that the entire product was a failure. So, we packed it up and our little boy didn't get a Christmas morning 'choo-choo'.
The locomotive didn't work correctly. Had to return it
Train wouldn't stay on the tracks and then the batteries wouldn't stay in the train. We took it back.
only use it at Christmas bought it to replace one 20 years old just not the quality. thinking about returning
After reading the reviews, I purchased this train for my kids as a Christmas surprise. The train is cheaply made and would not stay on the track, it runs so fast it would fly off as soon as it tried to take the corner. It is also EXTREMELY loud. There is no way anyone could turn this on and leave it on for more than a minute without ear plugs (and I have two young boys). I returned it. Spend more money and get a better quality product.
