Good basic buy !

If you're looking for an affordable fabric for current styles, this is it. The colors are true to the pictures and the washed fabric is a mid-weight cotton great for girls' dresses and decorative pillows. I was concerned that the dark colors might bleed but I pre-washed the darks together and that solved it. They did turn the water dark but didn't affect the other fabrics. With the sizing washed out, the cottons have a lighter weight and feel more comfortable for clothing. At about $4 per yard (on the 2 Yd. pieces, which is all I buy) you can get some of the bright modern prints for less than the cost of 1 Yd. of the Name Brand prints. I recommend pre-washing the fabrics (on gentle, dry on low); I know this is always suggested, but it is necessary with these fabrics. They will require a light pressing, but they're not as wrinkled as heavier cottons., i.e. if you were to travel with a finished item in this fabric, you could wash, shake and hang to dry.
