I love this cricut. I upgraded from the smaller cricut because I hated cutting my paper. The only thing I didn't like was the shipping. I ordered this online and had it shipped to my local store. It took like 2 wks to get when I could have just gone to the store and got one off the shelf. I probably will not do site to store shipping again.
This deal is AMAZING and saves you LOTS of money! I just got my cricut today in aqua color but what I didn't know I'd also be getting was 2 free cartridges, plus the How To Cricut dvd. I thought it was just going to be the machine and the mat but I was surprised to see 2 cartridges. Other cricut boxes might include different cartridges but mine included the Cricut Lite Cartridge: Playtime AND Cricut Font Classics Cartridge. LOVE it so far!!!
I have been wanting an Expression for a long time. My hubby bought this one for me as a birthday present. I absolutely LOVE it! It is soo pretty, it was a great price, much cheaper than the white or black versions i have seen and it comes with 2 cartridges and a 12 x12 cutting mat!
I absolutely scored a home run with this purchase for my wife. She is a huge ‘paper crafter' and this machine does it all. What makes it nice is you can pick & choose what cartridges you want to use instead of having to use whatever the manufacturer thinks you're going to want. ALSO, the Wal-Mart price was the best I found doing my consumer shopping before the purchase.
I was thrilled to get a larger Cricut as an early birthday present. I was impressed with all of the new an exciting things I can do. It has made my scrapbooking go quicker, has accurate cutting and even my husband likes it.
LOve this Machine! So glad I bought it online becasue its more expensive in the store and you get an excra cartrige online. I've used it so much I already had to but a replacement bLADE but thats ok cuz I used it a lot. joust so you all know the old cartriges are compatable with the new machine.
Love, Love, Love, this item. Got an amazing deal. I bought this to add to my slowly growing wood crafting business. It cuts vinyl awesomely (not sure if that's a real word). Only draw back is I would love to see bigger mats available to it in he future. Maybe a 12 x 30 or 36. Other than that, it is awesome, easy to use and meets all my expectations.
I upgraded from the small cricut... this one is just awsome! I got 2 cardriges free with this Cricut which were almost equal to the value of the large Cricut machine....the only thing I don't like is it does not have a carrying handle and the materials it is made from is not as sturdy as the smaller cricut. Otherwise,.............I am HOOKED!
This machine creates a lot, that's for sure. I think it's expensive as are the cartridges. I got the aqua colored Cricut as it was $50 cheaper than the white, really no difference other than the color. I got it as i really needed the crisp cut for stencils. It takes a while to get used to all it can do. I went to www.youtube.com and watched the video's-there are tons, they were great.
The LCD screen didn't work after opening & setting things up. It took nearly two weeks to get a replacement, which seems to work fine. I am happy that they upgraded me to the white Expressions cutter with a new pad & blade, plus two additional cartridges. That's a very nice touch. The unit works fine The (green) lights are a bit bright, but that's not bad, but I had ordered blue. This is a hefty unit & the max pad size is 12" wide. It will (should) cut to 24" from 1/4" . I'll have to try later. It is a bit confusing to get the sizing just where you want it on the paper & cutting mat. You have to cut in landscape, aligning with the right edge, not the left. Lining up the paper to the mat, can be a challenge if you can't cut a clean line (which is one reason i bought this unit). So that is a big downer. I would like something that will align the mat & paper together the same way, each time. Overall this is a nice unit (the white replacement) & does as it should, so far. I put the value high, as I got the unit from Wal-Mart at a pretty darn good price, even though you have to buy an additional cartridge & they are out of the ones you want. If you're interested in using this unit to cut, it isn't bad. I wouldn't use it professionally right away, but think that you could. Depends on how much the unit can take hourly use every day.
