Great product. Amazing taste. Healthy, good quality.
Over the many years, we have tried and used many cooking oils. As a kid, my mother used crisco shortening, for frying chicken. When the other oils started coming out[vegetable, corn, safflower, etc.] we used each one of those, for long periods of time, and liked the taste of foods we fried with them. We tried other brands, some good, some not so good, but we always came back to Crisco. [To us], it seemed the taste of fried foods, got better as we went from vegetable oil, corn oil, safflower, and now for years, we have stuck with canola oil. We noticed, that when you cook with canola oil, you don't smell a "greasy odor" in the air! When crisco says "Pure Canola" that's the reason! Canola oil, not only makes fried foods taste better, but it's also great in salads, as well. To top it off, health wise; it's better for you! I'm sold on crisco products, are you?
Sometimes I don't want the aroma and taste of a good olive oil in my cooking so I turn to the canola oil to bake with and for stir fries and just things that don't agree with the olive oil. The only problem I have had is with the jug. It is hard to get the last tablespoon out. The cap cannot not be removed so it must be turned upside down at an angle to drain the last bit out before recycling.
I bought this for roasting vegetables and it works perfectly!
great
I use this oil to make a lovely oily chili paste (chili, garlic and onion). I keep it topped up with canola oil so I can use that oil as chili oil. The grip on the bottle is lovely so full marks to the designer - this is one bottle that will never slip out of your hand and I'll probably buy Crisco again, just for the bottle design - yes it's a small thing, but small things make a difference.
Crisco has always been a brand that I trust and their canola oil is no exception. Not only is it wonderful for sautéing, I love using it for dressings and garlic oil too. I roast garlic, chop it up and add it to a 1/2 cup Crisco Canola and it makes a wonderful marinade oil for cooking! It's smooth and enhances my food. Great for use in baking as well! I use it in my cake recipes. Love this product!
Would definitely purchase again. Like the size and convenience of not going to the grocery store [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I was looking for a substitution, and this worked great.
Canola (or rapeseed) oil is an inflammatory seed oil that leads to chronic disease. Stick to coconut, avocado, or olive oil.
