l absolutely love Cryonax ice packs. They really DO stay cold for hours. I go to sleep with one on my neck. The neck pain is constant, possibly from the failing of a surgery 11 yrs ago. Anyway, these packs can mold to your body They numb the pain and that allows for enough relaxation to get to sleep. They will still be cool when you wake up. And I do know that 20 minutes off/on is the rule...I don't care.
Please read the instructions for how to use it correctly and for how it needs to be kept in the freezer/fridge. It is super easy to wipe off and the outer cover is machine washable and comes out out of the washer 98% dry! And the cover is super soft! The coldness of the ice pack lasts for quite a long time, even in the sweltering, humid, steaming summer days in the South of the US!
I had foot surgery and used two of these that I could swap out/exchange in and out of freezer. They my lifeline for comfort. The Velcro strap was great to keep it from sliding and the soft cover stayed dry, long lasting, and never needing another wrap to protect skin. Highly recommend (get two so one is always ready when other one thaws out after all day or hours.) I tuck one for under a pillow when done with a 10-20 minute press and it stays nice and cold for the next time. I took her to bed with me and it lasted nearly all night and then put it back in the freezer in the morning and grabbed the fresh one.
I've used this ice pack for my sore back for years! Decided to purchase another one because sometimes I forget to put it back in the freezer and I use it daily. Now I have a back up. It doesn't get hard as brick like others and love the pouch it comes with! Also the strap is great if using it on a knee so that it doesn't fall off. Stays cold for a long time.
I'm a retired nurse, we know a good product. I bought mine for back surgery, however this cold pack conforms to my shoulder and my foot. This pack is true to its claim of lasting 8hrs. which means you have less trips back to fridge, the Velcro strap works great on those hard to reach areas that a traditional cold pack can't reach.
The ice pack freezes well, and with the sleeve on gives your a nice consistent cool sensation to the area. I use the pack on my shoulder and it forms very easily and the velcro helps keep it in place. The 8 hrs is a little misleading because they base that on 20 on 20 off with the ice pack going back in to the freezer in between uses. I about a solid 4 hrs of straight use with it.
It is very thick. Like the cloth case with strap. Says it will last up to 8 hours of cold. Think it will be good for when we go out of town. Bit bigger than I thought.
The Velcro strap that holds the cold pack in place is way to flimsy. It needs to be more heavy duty where it doesn't stay stretched out after only a few uses.
I bought this for my broken foot that is in a cast that cannot get wet. It leaked all over my cast.!!!!!
Cold pack, box item packaged in and shipping box were ALL delivered damaged. The pink liquid substance inside of the cold pack leaked out on other items packaged in shipping box. The other items were packaged in plastic and was protected from leak. Have not done too much shipping with Walmart but have read reviews. Not a real fan of shipping if items are going to be delivered damaged.
