I can check on my cats from any where on my phone or tablet. It's low resolution but good s ought to see what's going on at home.
Great product for the price! Installation is not as easy, but customer service walked me through it and got it setup!
Bought to use more/less as a 'baby monitor' for pets I foster and figured I could double it for security. It is cheaper than actual baby monitors I have priced. The install is easy and wireless. It DOES work with Windows 8. The manual was obviously written before 8 came out and only lists up to 7. The picture is pretty good in both indoor and outdoor lighting. Can't comment on the audio, as I haven't really had noise to monitor. Nor have I tried motion sensor since the things I monitor are in constant motion... but will try it out before I vaca. I am pleased and am considering buying another.
It works as good as they proclaim. I like the motion detection feature that snaps a pic and emails it. Poor quality video but, overall, a terrific bargain at $39.
Bought this as a finishing touch to our home security monitoring system. Works great. Not good for night viewing but works fine if leaving a lamp on at night or some kind of light. Would definitely recommend. Going to buy a second one. Easy to set up. Great viewing through my iphone, ipad and computer.
very easy to hook up with Ethernet cable, does it all automatically, wireless i couldn't tell you...works as described, i'm satisfied...log into your acct from any computer and see what's happening at home, you can set the motion detector and train the camera on the door and capture anybody coming thru the area while your gone & have the pic's sent thru e-mail.
I bought two of these, one for the front of the house and one for the rear. The setup on the first one took a while, presumably because the password I was using was too long and because I used capitals in my e-mail address to MyDlink.com. By updating the firmware and downloading the latest setup file I got everything going. The 2nd camera came up easily and I am still fooling around with the motion detection for optimum usage. These cameras require an online ftp server to store the snapshots or live video. Next time I will get the one with the MicroSD storage. All in all, I am satisfied and it has been a good learning experience. It's nice to be able to see the security cams from anywhere I can get on the internet.
The camera is okay, easy to set up and connect to WiFi with limited knowledge. Only downfall really is picture quality is not the greatest, I use this as a doggie camera and no captured pictures are worth sharing as details of the pictures are hard to make out. Should consider spending a little more for better quality if you're looking to capture pictures, also for night vision, I have to leave a light on during the day in order to see anything, would have to be put in direct light in your house as any shadows or closed curtains and you'll see nothing. Again though, you get what you pay for and for the price you I can't complain too much as it does serve its purpose.
I didn't think that pan and tilt, infa red, two-way audio, and video quality mattered until I bought this camera. This camera is what it is, but if you want to see in low-light, in a dark parking lot, or your front door in the evening for example, I would spend a few extra bucks and step-up a model or two. This camera was easy to setup, easy to use, and easy to connect to via the Internet. The power cord could have been longer.
Advertised as Wifi, but its not Wifi, its WPS. Requires WPS feature on your router. This was not stated in advertising. Therefore I can't connect to Wifi because I do not have access to the router nor does the router have WPS. I do have a wifi Wep key and can connect that way but this camera does not work that way. So I will have to purchase a separate router with WPS button, connect that to the network and then connect the camera to this. It stupid. Other than the WPS feature, this is really a LAN camera. I will have to run a 200ft LAN connection out my window and into my parking lot! It defeats the purpose of me getting this. Wasted $50.
