So far, so good, does every thing I expect a freezer to do and fits the space I have perfectly!
perfect for my small home. lots of space. love the door for smaller items they would get lost in the bottom of my old freezer.
The freezer has plenty of room for my wife and I , it's quiet and looks great too , we purchased 10 plastic bins to store all our different meats ,
I like that I don't have to bend over and dig in a chest freezer. Everything fits great on the shelves. It's not super-super quiet, but we keep it in the laundry room so it's not an issue.
I wanted a stand up that was not too big no this is just the right size
My freezer was delivered June 23/17. On Aug/17 the Friday of the long weekend I went to get something out of the freezer and when I opened the door the smell was over powering. The freezer was full of meat ice cream desserts and 20lbs of rancid butter. I could not get anyone to come and have a look at it. I had to wait until the Tuesday then I contacted Danby. The person I was talking to was very abrupt. He gave me a number to call. The service person could not come until Friday. After he looked over the freezer he told me the freezer was done it needed a new condenser. I then contacted Danby and was told by the person I was talking to contact Walmart and get them to give me another freezer. I told him that was not right that it was not Walmart's fault it was Danby's fault and he told me that it wasn't Danby's fault.. I asked him about the freezer contents ( close to $400.00 ) He told me that Danby's policy not to cover any expenses. This might not be a lot but, when you are on a pension it is. I received an email from Danby stating what I was to do, before I can get a replacement. It also stated that if/when I get the replacement freezer it would be curbside service and they will not take the damaged freezer back. It was up to me to get rid of it Also I cannot buy the extended warranty. I sent an email to Danby to bring up the issues but have not heard back from them.. I am 68 years old and I live alone. It seems to me that Danby does not care. I am left with the feeling that yes, because of warranty Danby has to replace the product but makes it really miserable for the customer. I have had Danby appliances in the past and have had great luck with them. But, that ends now. Danby's customer service really sucks. In my email to customer service I asked to have my email forwarded to the CEO to see if this how he runs this company. I won't hold my breath waiting. Bev
