I replaced a Danby chest freezer of 13 years with a Danby upright freezer and will give the old freezer to my nieces as it still works just like the day it came out of the box! I have always had great experience with Danby products. Walmart had the product delivered when they said it would be delivered. Very predictable buying experience!
We have been very pleased with this freezer. We've had it a year now. It holds a lot of frozen foods and it's easy to see what you have unlike the chest type. Fits in a corner of our kitchen without taking up a lot of space, yet has very good storage capacity.
Very pleased with my freezer. The 5 wire fast freezing shelves are great and hold a good quantity of food. The draws at the bottom are a great feature. Very pleased with my purchase.
I like this freezer twice as much as I thought I would. I had been considering this purchase for more than a year and the pandemic (so I could keep more food on hand) pushed me into purchasing the Danby 5.9 cu.ft. upright freezer. My second reason was it would give me peace of mind if my refrig/freezer failed or needed repair. I do love how visible the food is because of the shelves. This unit has fixed shelves which may limit the size of the items that will fit but a 14 lb.turkey did fit on a shelf. I am a little concerned with the two plastic drawers that could possibly fall if pulled out too far. I am careful because I don't know how easily they would break. The quality is very good and was undamaged. This is my first freezer purchase. I thought it was a great value and would definitely recommend this freezer to any one who needed extra freezer space.
Great size for one maybe two people. In conjunction with freezer in refrigerator it's perfect for us.
I'm pretty satisfied. It's spacious for 2 people and keeps things nice and cold. I knew that it didn't have a light inside but I wish there was one. Also it's building up ice on the inside walls and shelves faster than I expected.
Perfect size for my apartment, love the upright style as opposed to a chest freezer… the only reason I didn't rate it a 5 was because it came with a small dent in the door , a little extra packing or thicker cardboard could have prevented the damage
Perfect size freezer unfortunately arrived damaged in several areas however we would still recommend this freezer its slim size fits in most places its whisper quiet we are hopeful things will change
Changing freezer door was such a challenge as the screw at the bottom was stripped. Had to call a handyman and pay extra to get the screw off. I hope that the freezer quality is better than that of the screw.
Ordered this upright freezer online as we don't have a truck to pick up. Was delivered with no issues. Brought in and followed instructions about letting it sit before plugging it in. Plugged in the next day and nothing happened. Contacted the manufacturer, followed suggested troubleshooting, still nothing. So disappointed in this product. Returned through Walmart.
