Worked great. Especially after I realized the idler pulley and the belt tensioner pulley are different sizes for my truck. Make sure before you buy.
I absolutely love ordering parts on line at advance.com. I save money using on line coupons and my speed perks discounts. My parts are waiting for me at the store at my convenience and I am always treated extremely well. Thanks Advance
I ordered these and found out they were the wrong part. Probably my fault in choosing the part online. I took them to my local store and had absolutely no issues exchanging them for the correct part. It was a very plesant experience.
When installing this pulley, when you remove the belt make sure to remove the upper idler pulley as well. There are 2 reasons for doing this and it is so simple to take off: #1 it will make the removal and reinstallation of the 3 bolts that hold the tensioner to the block so much easier #2 you should inspect the idler pulley to make sure it doesn't need to be replaced also, in my case both pulleys were original to the vehicle so if one went bad the other isn't far behind. When I tightened the pulley to the tensioner there was a little play that I didn't like so all I had to do was find a washer that was the same size as the flange on the bolt, don't worry the bolt is more than long enough and that took away any play that I was concerned about. 1998 Ford Expedition with a 4.6
I purchased the Dayco Pulley (Part# 89016) for my 2010 Toyota Tundra 5.7L 4x4. I had never installed a serpentine belt or switched out the tensioner pulley before so I was a little worried in purchasing something that wasn't directly from Toyota. Would it be the proper size/fit and would it get rid of the noise that had started the day prior? It was Sunday so I figured I would give it a try. I combined it with a Dayco Poly Rib Belt (Part # 5080950). After installing both things the noise went away. It is now a couple of weeks later and I have never heard the noise again. At this point I would highly recommend this pulley.
I am rebuilding a 99 XJR supercharged Jag, tricky and expensive. Pretty much everything is specific and expensive. After researching every part for availability and price I found this particular idler pulley ( OEM made of plastic with a bearing that is enclosed by the moulding and is not removable)The original has been superseded 3 times and the current one is available through the specialists for over $70 + shipping. After being resigned to having to spend the money, I thought I would try the local store just in case. What a surprise! in stock , available, and saved heaps. This is the exact same product as the OEM replacement
Cheap insurance for those long trips. Keep the old as a spare and you will save yourself a lot of headache. Seems to be of good quality and so far so good.
This pulley is for after market belt tensioners. Not for Genuine Honda belt tensioners. Other then was good.
Part was only slightly different shape as original. Worked fine. If instructions had been provided, I would have noticed that there was a nut into which the bolt going through the pulley went into (2005 Honda Accord 2.4L). Consequently, when I loosened the pulley bolt, the nut on the back side fell into the engine. Took me forever to find it!
No good out of the box. Waste of time and money. Associate marked as "didn't need" and they were definitely defective. Now someone else will probably get these parts. These people that work there are not mechanics and act like you don't know what you are talking about. Very dissatisfied.
