Like many, I miss the real merthiolate (and mercurochrome) that healed great but were removed from the US market because they contained mercury. The DeLaCruz product is red like the old merthiolate, stings like the old merthiolate, and most importantly, helps heal like the old merthiolate. The active ingredient shown is benzalkonium chloride .13%, same as the Humco product. But the Humco merthiolate might as well be water, as it has no apparent benefits. If you want something that works, buy this DeLaCruz product.

The Merthiolate worked just like the Merthiolate I remember as a young person. It works well. Thank you for having this product: it is easy to use and effective.
this product is amazing ! I had a bunch of cold sores on my lip and used abreva and didn't work at all. I managed to get my hands on this and it dried up my cold sores quickly. Definitely recommend this for anyone who suffers from cold sores.
Seems to heal wound faster
I have been looking for this product for a long time and finally found it at pharmapacks. just what I was looking for and arrived in a timely manner. would definately recommend them and use again for my next purchase.
I used merthiolate my entire life for minor cuts and abrasions, but I cannot find it in stores or pharmacies. I was very excited to find that you sold it. My brother was in the same boat as me. I gave him one of the bottles I ordered. Thank you.
Product heals cuts pretty fast, not as fast as the old stuff which of course had mercury in it. I happy with this product and will continue to buy it.
Hated the order! I let wal mart know that the product leaked out of one of the bottles. They put me in touch with De La Cruz and I let them know it leaked. I got no response from them. I think wal mart should refund me!
