I have been wanting a decorative windmill forever. I found this one and it appealed to me for several reasons. The bronze color was very rich looking, but still looked authentic. Some reviewers did not like the logo that was brightly painted on the tail of the silver/galvanized windmill, and with the bronze color, the logo is painted black and is barely visible. The windmill has substantial weight - at 60 lbs, this does withstand our high winds with no problem. It also comes with 4 long and heavy pieces of rebar that hold it down into the ground. When I saw this, only the 9 ft windmill was available, and it is definitely high enough to be seen and appreciated. My husband is not very handy, construction does not come easy to him, but he put it together in a few hours. His only comment was that it would be very helpful if the instructions were in color and showed more detail. That said, the only hiccup putting it together was a misshapen part that he had to replace. Also, the price on Hayneedle, was half the price of the windmill on the website on the company that makes it. I feel like this is a very good windmill, for a very good price, and I am so glad I waited until I found this one. There are others available for less money, but they are also very light and flimsy. You will not be sorry you bought this windmill!
Very nice windmill seems very sturdy
This was relatively easy to put together. Be careful to avoid bending or scratching any of the support straps. You should read the instructions for each step twice and dry fit all of the pieces before bolting everything down, so you don't have to undo anything. I'm glad I bought the 12' windmill, the scale and proportions are worth the difference in price. I was missing the anchor brackets, but the manufacturer sent some to me. Tools included, but a socket wrench is a handy addition.
My 12ft. Backyard Windmill looks amazing in my back yard. Pretty easy to set up with help from my grandson. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. Arrived quickly and already getting great reviews from my neighbors. Thank you Hayneedle.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. Last week we put it together which was quite easy to do the directions were easy to follow. It is now sitting in our garden. It looks very impressive. Buy it you won't be sorry.

Happy with the product overall as the quality and design are quite nice and very functional. The one issue I had involved the instructions - they were incredibly difficult to interpret as part names did not match part descriptions, images and diagrams were incomplete, etc. The company should really consider having them redone.
I agree with some other reviews, the directions are not done very well and the pictures are not clear enough to really see what the directions are talking about. That being said, read the direction steps 2 or 3 times, use some good old fashion common sense and you can figure it out. The parts are made well and it is heavy duty. I like the product very much. Nice addition to our hill side in the back yard.
We like the windmill and once I assembled it it was pretty much what we expected when we ordered it. The assemble wasn't actually that difficult however the assembly instructions themselves are quite lacking. First, the enclosed copy of the instructions was so lightly printed it was illegible. I contacted the manufacturer (Outdoor Water Solutions Inc.) and told them that the Assemby Instructions were not legible. They told they would email me the instruction immeadiately -- I never received antything. I was able to find the assembly instructions on-line by myself with a google search. With a legible copy of instructions in hand the assembley went smoothly although the instuctions themselves are badly in need of a rewrite. Net, we like the windmill -- it looks good and functions well and we are enjoying it.
Great product. Very sturdy, not the easiest to put together but when done it looks and works great!
