I Love it, got 2 one for me Pacific blue and 1 for the wife Passion purple, this laptop is great, fast (we got both machines with 6 gb ram Windows 7 64 bit is great ran all my 32 bit software with out a problem. setup was easy, hint get rid of mcafee try Windows security essentials macafee is a memory hog and slows down this machine with out mcaffe the machine flys all and all Love it
This laptop is compact. So fast and so much memory that I just can't take enough of. Even my brother envies my dell inspiron :) Also i'm a student and it makes such a great laptop for gaming, studying, typing, etc.
Happy with the Dell laptop. Found Windows 8.1 took a little getting used to and the right side shut down odd. I needed help from Dell to get set up and as always Dell came through with lots of patience. Any questions can be answered by Dell or Microsoft. I have other Dell products and I have been satisfied with Dell.
This is the perfect laptop for college students. Compact and lightweight, yet still has a large screen. DVD and CD burner helps her manage her data perfectly and easily. Highly recommended
Also have a 12" 700m my all time favorite laptop and a 1501 I purchased just before Vista came out..thus the 1545 also has XP Pro to have a fresh XP laptop before being forced to Win 7.
User Age - 55+ Usage includes browsing web, editing documents, work from home, video and media, No Gaming. Pros: Touch screen, very helpful laptop stays cool even after watching couple of movies and daily surfing ~ 6 straight hours. Laptop is fast (may be due to less number of apps I have installed) Cons: Windows 8 - involves little learning curve, spent 3 hours to understand basics.
Windows 8.1 takes some getting use to. Laptop is much larger than expected. If you aren't sure on size... take a look at one in the store before buying. Weight is an issue as well. Larger and heavier than my previous machine. (7-8 lbs vs 4lbs) Fell in love with the touchscreen option immediately. Feels well built. I've only had it for a little over a week but I'm looking forward to understanding all of the neat things it can do. Walmart stores in my area sold out of this product quickly. If you get a chance to buy.. don't wait or it will be gone.
Well was looking for a simple economic useful laptop and the Inspiron 1545 met that criteria quite well. A tip was the flashy look thou I would count myself to be sold on flashy looks it did make it easier to give it over to my work colleagues. So far I havent had any issues with it and the usb port match my needs so far. It is also lighter than my previous laptop a Vostro 1500.
I love my new notebook. First time for Windows 7 Home Premium & Intel Core i3. It is great and wasn't hard to change over from my older Dell notebook. I watch movies on it and also watch tv programs which is great. I play online games and load pictures and music on it. Love the screen & how you can change wallpaper. I use my Dell for personal use since I am retired from a bank and Dell is the best computers you can purchase. I still have a Inspiron 1200 notebook for over 5 years and it is still a very good computer.I recommend to anyone. Thanks DELL...
I bought this Moon Silver laptop on line on the Walmart site. Shipping was fast. This might have been a good value, was a real nice package, and had real metal deck, all good selling features. However, the touch screen did not work right out of the box. Customer support from Dell was fairly weak. Ultimately, they told me it was a hardware issue, and told me to return to the local Walmart and a new would be sent out to me with next day shipping. Of course this was totally untrue, as Walmart customer service informed me. This was the second defective Dells laptop I bought this month at Walmart and had to return both. Both came with hardware defects and had to be returned. I am not too happy with Dell laptops right now. Thank goodness for the Walmart return policy.
