DeLonghi Radiator Heater is Doing the Job

I have been consistently using my DeLonghi ComforTemp Oil-Filled radiator Heater for a month now and am extremely pleased with the purchase and its operation. I use it in my bedroom, which is in a walk-out basement with no ductwork for furnace heat. Needless to say beside it being the only source of heat, it is also dealing with laminated floor over concrete slab. Yet, it keeps the room toasty (My husband's favorite word to describe it). Also, it is very important that it be a quiet machine--light sleeper here--only sounds made are clicks ever so infrequently, and low sounding at that. Even when we had some pretty cool days/nights (live in Michigan) this heater was able to keep up with the space (11 x 11). OH, I must add that I do have a small room-size rug on the floor--so I don't need to step on the laminate while dressing, as the floor stays on the cool side.

I love this heater because it's silent and keeps my small bedroom very warm. I hated the loud sound and cycling on and off of the coil heater I have in another room. No sleep interruptions with this heater. And my bedroom is kept very toasty. Love it.

Great if the furnace stops working

We bought this unit to provide some warmth if our furnace fails or other emergencies. It's not huge and stores easily. We've tried it out and it seems to work extremely well. It gets very warm and stays that way for a long period of time after shutting off. Set up is straight-forward. They do recommend running the unit for a few hours in a well ventilated area to burn it in, particularly to get rid of the new paint smell. We ran ours outside because the weather was nice enough. The controls are straight forward and it seems nicely build. Very happy with the purchase so far.

I had previously owned a DeLonghi, but finally wore it out. Purchased a different brand but it just didn't put out the heat. Got another DeLonghi and it works just great. Almost makes my room too hot on the lowest setting sometimes! I would recommend this product to anyone needing a good, safe room heater.

Our second one!

We bought our first DeLonghi heater several years ago. When we needed to safely heat the room our dogs sleep in, we immediately got our old heater model number and got the same one we use in our master bedroom.

Delonghi Oil-Filled Radiator

This is a 3rd buy of the same heater. We have two that are over ten years old (by the kitchen door). One, we gave to our daughter when she moved out (still working) and this is a replacement. I'm hoping that Delonghi hasn't changed their product values. Right now, this new heater is keeping a very large room at a comfortable temperature with a setting of 3. We set it in the draftiest spot and from day one it is working perfect. Some of the other reviews I read said that there was a smell of paint the first couple of days. We did not experiences this. Love our purchase! Would of given it a 5 but saving that last star for longevity!

Great heater with a minor flaw

Reviewed in the USA on 2016-10-26T17:00:00

This is a replacement heater for a DeLonghi heater that I had for 30 years. The thermostat broke. It took me a while to find this particular model. I wanted a simple, mechanical, oil filled space heater. I wanted another DeLonghi. It seems that most of the space heaters today are electronically controlled with all sorts of bells and whistles. I wanted a mechanical one. Just an on- off switch and a thermostat. This is the one to get. It has a low, medium, and high switch setting. It has a thermostat. It is great. You can't get a better one. It does take a while to heat up a 12 x 12 room, but it keeps it very warm once it has reached the desired temperature. There is one feature, an automatic temperature control. It is supposed to keep the temperature at between 68 and 72 degrees. I don't use it because it kept the room at 78 degrees. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. The flaw with this device is you can not see the thermostat stetting unless you get down on your hands and knees. The window is so small you can't see the setting. The old DeLonghi had a big, red, open-faced dial that you could read standing up. This one, no way. Other than that flaw, this is a great space heater. You can't go wrong.

Heater arrived like it got ran over with a truck. Tried to return it to Walmart but the return site is down . They said it's down for a few weeks . Trying to send it back by FedEx if they send me a return label . In the meantime I went to Lowes and bought one . Don't buy this item from Walmart they might sent you this bad heater .
