beaten, abused, and soaked and still looks pretty

I have dogs. My dogs destroyed the floor we currently have which is why we need something that is very durable but still stylish. I bought this sample not only to see how it would look in my home but also to put it through multiple tests to get a good idea of how it will hold up under the daily use from my dogs. i did a scratch test and a water test. For the scratch test, I used a couple different tools of various sharpness. The razer was the only one that left a visible mark. The screw driver and the blunt awl did not leave any lasting marks. I also did a water test. Because dogs and accidents that happen in the middle of the night that are not discovered until the morning..... well. So I sprayed it with water, making sure to get all sides of it wet and left the puddles on it for 24 hours. No water marks, no warping. The core appears the same as it did before the water test. There is a teeny tiny bit of water damage at the very edge of the top layer of wood where it has slight discoloration and is a bit rougher than before the test. Overall, I am very pleased with the results of my tests and how well this sample has held up under my abuse. I would say this is a great choice of flooring for those who like the wood look, prefer wood vs tile or vinyl and have a household full of brutes.
