Bought since baby has reflux and doesn't like to lay flat. He would not sleep in crib only rock n play. Ever since putting this in crib he sleeps just fine all night.
My baby is a premature and this really helps because he does not burp a lot and now i feel confident because he doesnt sleep flat.
I Have a 2 months old newborn, this is excellent to keep your child from chocking on its on spits/vomints.
Good product. Keeps the baby's head and torso elevated. Good for newborns. As babies keep growing they will roll out of it during the night. I guess it is more comfortable for them to sleep on the plain mattress crib, but the product is still good as babies are able to sleep elevated for a while specially when they fall asleep right after eating.
I though it would be little higher like the ones I saw in BabiesRUs. But it does the job. The price is excellent. Had I bought 2 from babiesRUs to get the width of the crib, it would cost me 3X.
Our baby is 3 months old and has been sleeping in a car seat or swing ONLY because of awful acid reflux. We looked at these reviews and decided to get it. The negative reviews were silly. Yes it comes in 2 pieces that you have to put in the bag, and yes it is cheap foam, but the waterproof outer bag trumps any pillow especially if you are using it for acid reflux! You can't even tell there is a seam in the middle between the two wedges; if you put it under the fitted crib sheets it is perfect. You can't beat the price; if I went to the fabric store and bought foam, a zipper and the water proof fabric it would come so close to the same price it wouldn't even be worth the time. Also, putting books under the mattress doesn't work because there is no angle in the middle of the mattress for the butt to rest so the baby will just slide all the way down the mattress or end up upside down. This is my 3rd baby and honestly I wish we had this product for my 2nd child too because she had ear infections for the first 2 years of her life, and the doctor said to elevate her mattress on one end to relieve the pressure in her ears each time she got an infection. As I mentioned that doesn't work out so well. Another great thing about this product is it reaches both ends of the mattress so the baby won't fall over the edge once he starts rolling around more. The fact that there are 2 wedges is great too because we can still use it in the pack 'n' play if we travel, by taking one wedge out and putting some rolled up receiving blankets on either side so he doesn't slide off the side. The only down side is he was always snug in his car seat so it's like we're finally teaching him to sleep in the open so he woke himself up a lot in the night due to flailing limbs. Oh well; he has to learn at some point! Hopefully it won't take him too many nights to figure out his body more and get used to having his legs free to move.
This wedge was not quite the product I thought I'd ordered, although it is functional. It was a little less of an incline than I'd thought it would be and the slick top surface of the casing makes stacking impossible. I like that it is fire resistant and that it easily fits both my crib and play yard. Unfortunately, even with a sheet over it my baby does slide down even the slight incline and still ends up lying flat. I'm considering ordering a sleep positioner to use in conjunction with the wedge.
we have a 5" crib mattress and the sheet is already tight, it makes the wedge slide down from the headboard a few inches. Overall it does what I bought it for!
It came in 2 pieces and much thinner then expected. You have to assemble the two sides into its cover. I'm guessing it may be for wider beds such as full size crib vs travel sized cribs. There was no insert in the package explaining any of this so as I said I'm just guessing.... haven't used it yet though Its just not what I was thinking it would be.
This is not a pillow.It is made of 2 seprate pieces of FOAM ,which u have to put together .It does give u a wedge affect .But it just not working out for my little one.he is 6 months old.Been using the boppy noggin head support.In this wedge he would slide to one side of the crib then he would start crying .so if ur baby tend to move alot at night .I do not perfer this.
