This is a great product and an even better price. Everywhere else, a pad was around $25 and a cover was around $15, so to get both for just over $17 was a steal. The cover washes out really easily and the pad can be wiped clean very easily. It's worked great for us.
I received this item at my baby shower. It has been great. I chose this one to add to my registry based on the price. I have never used it to travel, and therefore, don't really need it to fold, but it works great stationary also. I used it on top of my daughter's dresser, making it unable to strap it down, however it does have a very good non-slip pad attached underneath which sticks very very well. The cover is a very nice terry cloth, but you might want to pick up a second one to use while this one is in the wash.
Nice substantial size & nonskid back makes diaper changes, especially messy one's a breeze. I love the contour sides that help to keep infant in place. I use this on a dresser in baby's room upstairs & then tote down stairs to use on main floor during the day. This is a great value, since it comes with a soft terry cover & removable sides so pad will accomodate the older child. As a grandma that babysits often, this has proven to be a very useful item. I am happy to recommend it.
I decided to buy this changing pad over others out there for two reasons. #1 the price and #2 it folds down. I didn't know if I would ever need to fold it, but having that option is handy I think. Plus after we are done with it, it can be stored away easier than a pad that doesn't fold. It consists of 5 parts, it has the padded mat with attached safety straps and 4 covered foam wedges for the sides. It's very easy to assemble, it just velcros together. It is a full size pad so it fits standard changing pad covers nicely and fit perfectly into our changing table. I use the included terry cloth cover and a separate decorative cover at the same time, just for a bit more cushion and to keep the parts held together a bit tighter. This is not necessary though, because it is padded nicely and I've never had any of the parts shift. I believe it is comfy for our boys to lay on because they have never fussed because of laying on it. We bought this and a changing table when our boys were 18 months and 3 months old. Our oldest had only layed on public changing tables lined with a blanket and always cried. I was a little worried how he would do, but he has never thrown a fit on it, so he must be comfortable. Overall I would recommend buying this over some of the more expensive ones out there. It works great and there's no need to spend extra money that can be used elsewhere.
We have been using this changing pad ever since the first day we brought our daughter home. She is now 8 months. It looks brand new to this day. Some of the reviews make it seem like this changing pad is cheap and not of good quality; however, I beg to differ. First of all, it's not too soft or too hard. It is made of this very durable vinyl material. It's very easy to wipe clean, and it comes with a white terry cloth cover (very soft). As mentioned in one of the reviews, the wedges do velcro to the pad. It must be designed that way so that they can easily be removed once the baby gets bigger. We leave it fastened to the table, so I can't really say how convenient it is to travel with it. What I can say is that it does fold in half, so that should be of some help. Overall, it is a great changing pad. Don't believe all of these reviews, though. Some people are just too picky. They're so picky that they would probably find something wrong with a product they designed themselves. Trust me!!!!
Bought this to use outside the house. It is so convient and effective it has become my daughter's favorite place. Soft and secure it makes a great play area which can travel anywhere. The cover makes it easy to clean-up the occasional accident. GET ONE, you will find so many uses for it and never be sorry!
I bought this product as I needed a changing pad that would stop my baby from rolling off the changing table. Although it stops her rolling from side to side, it doesn't stop her from pushing up over the top end. I find the cover easy to take off and it washes well. I haven't really used the belt and folding feature to this product.
I don't think it's a terrible product, but I don't like the way it's designed. I'd rather have a changing pad that is all one piece, after trying this one. Also, the wedges that velcro on do not seem very sturdy, and after taking it apart twice, it is already having a hard time sticking. I don't know - the design itself just seems flimsy. I don't really need it to be transportable (though goodness knows I'm not sure this would fit in your diaper bag!), so I think something that's all one piece would work better.
I bought two of these pads--one for our church nursery and one for home for second baby's room. When I unpacked it fromt he package I was surprised at how THIN the pad was after unfolding. The contoured sides also were a surprise--they attach by velcro and without the cover on, this product looks very flimsy and cheap. The other countoured changing pad we have, that was not much mroe expensive (only $5 more) is much more plush and seems safer than this pad. I will be returning my purchase tomorrow and seeking out a different type of changing pad!
Not good for a table/dresser top changer. Does not have a rubber/sticky back or attachments to screw the product into the dresser. Bumps off and flops together easily. I am returning this product and purchasing another that will be more stable and better made.
