I have worn Dickie crew socks for years and buy no others. previously, other brands costing 2 and 3 times as much never stopped pilling, leaving a ongoing trail of tufts all over the carpets. Dickie socks rarely pill, last longer and are a extremely good value.
Several reviewers said this sock runs a little large. I agree. I wear a size 11 shoe and the sock is just a tad big but not too big that i cant wear it. If you wear a shoe size smaller than 11 it may be too big for you. Otherwise a good quality sock. I wish Wal-Mart sold these in store so i didn't have to pay shipping. Oh well.
The best brown socks, ev-er. I've spent hours searching online for crew-style brown socks. Spent huge amounts on name brand socks (Izod). When asked which socks he feels most comfortable in, he selected the WalMart "Dickies" brand socks. So I bought 9 more pairs. I love these "Dickies" socks because they are mostly cotton and a good fit. They hold up to daily wear with his rough heels and to repeated washing. The color doesn't fade.
My husband really loved it...
The online picture differs greatly from the actual color.
Husband says "yes they are great" lol the seem to be holding up well to wash and use.
Glad to see someone is making brown crew socks. I don't know why it's so hard to find brown ones so I was happy to see these. These socks are well made but seem to run a little big. I wear a mens size 11M shoe and normally any crew socks I buy fit well. I would have rated the value higher but Walmart doesn't stock them in store or allow store pickup so they tack on another $5 for home shipping which I didn't want.
I ordered these socks for my husband and I to try with walking and hiking shoes. I find it very difficult to find cotton socks that wear well, stay up, and don't shrink to the point you can't wear them after a while. These are great socks, thick and comfortable for everyday wear. They are HUGE, however. I recommend these socks for people with large feet (men and women), say larger than size 10 for either. (I wear a size 8 medium width. My husband wears a size 9 1/2 in mens' shoes.) We hope these nice socks will shrink.
