I am elated with this product, it allows me the flexibility of listening to "my" music without paying for a second receiver AND it is easy to use. I dd pay a professional to install it because I wanted it hard wired into the radio since I have a history of keeping cars over 10 years and I just got this one. I sometimes (less than 1% of the time and same location) lose signal while driving in remote locations but I attribute that to the satellite and Sirius
Purchase this adapter when I purchased a Stiletto 100 for Sirius. Amazing it can broadcast on any FM channel, and setable completely across the band. The only thing it needs is ability to broadcast a little louder... I have to turn the volume up on my radio more than a normal channel.
great product, I love listening to Sirius in the car. Won't fit with the large Stiletto-100 battery, but you can use it without the battery. Takes a minute to get started every time you turn on the car.
Can be defficult to find a place to mount in some vehicles, but the Stiletto is, in my opinion the best product out there to listen to satilite radio. Even a non proffessional can install this product if you just take your time and don't be impatient. Don't expect to have it installed in 10 minutes. To do it right it should take a couple of hours for most vehicles. Having a remote to change channels is a great feature I didn't think I would use much! I wish there were better options for mounting to the vehicle.
Bought for a stilleto 10 reciever. Installation was really easy, and product works well. Overall, I am satisified.
We had the kit installed locally and the reception is great.
The FM Transmitter is worthless on this thing. I installed this on an escort (ie: 8 feet from the antenna) and it still doesn't pick up the signal. Even when I installed the FM relay wire it came with, still static. After doing some looking it appears that you need to directly wire this item to your car stereo for it to work. That would have been nice to know before I bought this because if that was the case I would have bought a different dock. I bought this one as it is marketed to be used wirelessly. But the FM transmitter in it is way to weak. So if you do get this you will have to buy the FM direct relay cable and connect it to the back of your stereo (this requires pulling the stereo out of the dash board and wiring the two items together).
