This electric broom is well worth it's cost. I had the Electrolux electric broom (almost double the cost), but returned it due to the tinest dirt cup in the world, plus for over $80, it should have had much more power. This Dirt Devil is 14.4 volts, the Electrolux was under 10 volts. The dust cup is 3 X bigger. It is much louder, but it is also much stronger. I use it to vacuum approx. 1200 sq. ft. of tile and laminate, and by the end I am losing some power. So, I try to break up the areas into two different days. No big deal. Such a pleasure to use, rather then sweeping and bending to pick up. I have no problem with any dirt or litter getting blown back out of the machine. Dust cup easy to empty. This product is not to replace a regular vacuum to use on rugs. It does okay on my area rugs, but is really for tile, etc., not carpeting. I love it!! I just hope it lasts a long time, because I will be giving it a lot of use.
This thing is awesome! I can't imagine ever being w/out it again. I have a regular job, but also take MBA classes at a local college...I have no time to vacuum but with a golden retriever that sheds like none other I have no choice. I used to have a portable dirt devil hand-held vac that I would use, constantly bending over to reach the floor & every corner I could trying to get up the never ending amounts of dog hair that cluttered my kitchen, living room, & hard wood floors. This would take FOREVER although it generally worked okay, except that my back didn't seem to be forgiving. I got the "Power Stick" a couple of months ago & couldn't love it more. It glides EASILY on my kitchen flooring & my hard wood floors & you only have to flip a switch on the handle to go from floors to carpets (it's even great on my delicate rugs!)...No more BENDING for long periods (except for the 45 sec.s it takes to remove the bin...dump it & then put it back) but it is super easy (my husband also loves using it & that helps me out a lot! It is also very light weight & moves around SUPER easy...this would be a great buy for an elderly person too (assembly is a sinch too)....****THE ONLY complaint I have on this machine is that I would like the bin to be a bit larger my golden retriever's hair picks up quickly but I wouldn't mind to not empty the bin quite so often, but for normal everyday use this is NO problem & if you don't have pet hair EVERYWHERE you probably would empty it maybe 1 time a month. The suction is also wonderful, it gets hair & crumbs right at the baseboards of the floor, & I even use it on stairs b/c it is soooo light weight! (also to clean the filter you just run it under sink water & let it dry...it is almost like a plastic screen so it is really easy to do also.) This thing really cuts my cleaning time immensely! OVER ALL GREAT FIND...I'd definitely buy one as a wedding gift or birthday/Christmas present!!
This vacume is amazing. I am confined to a wheel chair. Finally something easy to push around besides my kids. This is very light weight. Holds a charge to clean 1500 square feet of my home. Recharges quickly. Small enough to store anywhere. Gotta love this invention. Most disabled folks will find this very easy to use.
Product is extremely efficient and very speedy. I've almost quit using my regular vacuum cleaner because this one is so much better. I have lots of cat hair and this one picks up the cat hair much better than my regular vacuum. My only complaint is that the bagless area is very small and needs to be emptied every time I use the sweeper. But I guess that this is a tradeoff with its size. I'm so happy with it that I'm going to get it for my aged mother who is very tiny. This will work very well for her floor and rugs. I wish the product were offered in the regular walmart store versus just on line.
Light and convienient it saves time when you have a small mess to clean up and you don't want to lug out the big vacuum.
I cant be without this sweeper . This is my 4th one. It is great for every day messes especially in my kitchen and when the grandkids are over. It picks up very well on carpet as well as hard floors.It is easy to get under things. I like the charger base you just plug it in and just have to lift the sweeper out with each use. I would highly recommend this sweeper. Best price from Walmart. I shopped around.
I have bought so many different little vacuums, brooms, dust mops, etc. to use on my wood floors, I could start my own resale shop!! I immediately assembled this little vacuum and started charging it. I let it charge a full 24 hours before using it. I have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 parrots, and 3 kids! I usually have to get my big shop vac out to pick up all the bird seed, cat litter, and sand from the kids' shoes. I have worn out brooms and dust mops, only to see that all they really did was get the big stuff and spread the sand around. THIS LITTLE GUY IS AMAZING !! Not only does it pick up dried corn from the birds, and cat litter, you can glide it with one finger. It truly is amazing. Best investment in cleaning item I probably made in a number of years!! It just floats on wood, tile, smooth surface floors. It will work okay on carpet, but save this to use on wood, etc. I kept the little basket empty, which takes 2 seconds. I cleaned about 1000sq ft before it acted like it needed to be back on the charger. I just keep it in the mudroom, sitting on the charger. It's ready to go all the time. Great for last minute clean-ups before Dad comes home!
With three dogs and a crawling baby, this is exactly what I needed for our floors. Most of my house is ceramic tile and hardwood flooring so this is a blessing. I had another stick vac and it just didn't work well at all. I am not sure why people complain about having to empty it often - I am glad to empty it because it means it is working! It has picked everything up off of my floors and I am so grateful I bought this stick vacuum. No more baby crawling around on a dirty floor with dog hair! I also have not had problems with it losing a charge either. I highly recommend it to anyone! Go out and buy one, you will be glad you did!!!!!
I bought the Dirt Devil Extreme Power Stick Vacuum because I recently moved into a home with mostly hardwood floors. With 2 cats and 3 litter boxes, sweeping is an everyday thing for me - and I didn't want to use a traditional broom. So I looked online and bought the Dirt Devil - and it has truly exceeded my expectations. I run the vacuum on a daily basis, and have for about 3 weeks - although I've had to clean out the small dirt cup a number of times, the machine has never lost suction and even seems to pick up dirt I didn't know was there. The best part of this vacuum is I can use it on my hardwoods, on my bathroom tile, and on my area rugs and it works great every time. I highly recommend this product to someone who is looking for an alternative to traditional sweeping but I'd think twice if you're looking to vacuum only carpets because the dirt cup isn't very large. Enjoy your dirt devil!
I got my steam mop the other day. I couldn't wait to use it. My floors are very dirty with two dogs and a 17 month old running around, the mop got dirt and grime up that had been there for awhile. My swiffer was not getting all of the dirt brought up. The steam mop lifts the dirt with water and requires no chemichals a must for anyone with small children and pets.
