Works great, makes quick work of small branches a couple inches thick. Saw really gets a good bite on the branch so you have to hold it tightly.
If you have low hanging tree branches that you have to avoid while mowing, this tool pays for itself in less than 1 hour. I trimmed 4 large trees within an hour of opening the box.
We building our 24v Greenworks tool set and this is an essential for spring tree trimming. We have used this on several smaller hard-to-reach limbs and it has worked well. The battery life is good as well. It would be nice if they included a little bottle of chain oil to get you started.
I bought this product about two weeks ago to perform general maintenance around the house, but put it to the test last week. Went down to help friends and family in Louisiana after Hurricane IDA to help with clean up. It is light weight, like that you can take sections apart for transport, and although I didn't time battery or count number of counts I felt it held up. Even my older mother was able to use with ease.
I have 4 other greenworks products in the 60v category and was upset there isn't a 60v polesaw, but after using this product I realize one end would be much heavier given the length and I am impressed with the power with this being 24v.
The pole saw is a handy gem! At least my 72 year old husband thinks so... LOL. I have not been able to pry it from his hands since I bought it! Both of his shoulders have damaged rotator cuffs and still he is able to operate this saw with relative ease over his head. It is an excellent tool for hard-to-reach places. The design has a built-in hook that helps removing tangled branches. The workhorse battery uses a full charge for an average size treed back and side yard. I will submit another review once he falls asleep and I am able to spirit it away!
The Cordless 8" Pole Saw was easy to assemble and operates as designed. I have not used it to trim trees yet, but it appears to be adequate to trim all of the trees I need to trim.
You need to pay attention to the chain to make sure it is tightened satisfactorily. Each time after I have used it, the chain needs tightening. Overall, it is a good piece of equipment. Glad I made the purchase.
Works as described, but would have preferred way to,shorten the pole and have greater control in shorter spaces
Returned it after using it to make 4 cuts. It started making squealing noise.
