The Mark V action is free-floated with three rings of steel surrounding the casehead, a fluted bolt with three gas ports, nine locking lugs and a short 54-degree bolt lift. The integral recoil lug provides superior strength and structural integrity. A cocking indicator visually indicates whether the rifle is cocked or uncocked. The Mark V Sporter has a forged and machined steel receiver. All metalwork is bead blasted matte blue with a low luster finish.
