I bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday. It's simple enough for her to use, just push buttons. Dora says hello to her and give her "messages" from the other characters on her show. Fairly easy to load in the name of your choice, just download from the site and connect the phone with a usb cable, which you have to get separately. I happened to have one already that fit. I was surprised to find how many names were listed on the site- even many different variations of some of the names. I feel this is a great alternative to those who like the Knows Your Name dolls, but don't want to pay the $40 price tag. It is a bit repetative, but overall I would reccomend this product based on how excited my baby gets from having her favorite character say her name.
My 18-month-old received this as a gift from her grandmother because she loves Dora. She is very thrilled with the idea that Dora "knows her name." She always carries it around with her. It is a toy that I don't mind because it is not too loud.
My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday and she just loves it! i also bought this for my nephew (who aslo loves Dora) & he loves it as well! One of the few things i didn't like about it is that IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE USB CABLE! a hassle is you don't have it already. the only other thing i found wrong with it was the fact the when you press the button 1 she says '1, 2, 3'. they should have made the buttons have their own saying, not tie them in with other buttons.
My 2 year old really enjoys this phone but I wish she said more phrases. She says the same thing over & over.
