Really love this. I was able to put this together all by myself. Yes it weighs a lot but I really didnt have a problem putting the arms on at all. it took a little longer because I was alone. The way it came was great everything covered in black cloth. The arms and legs neatly stored in the zipper section I was impressed from the start and have already reccommended this to several for their basement and den Perfect for that extra seating space or sleep space. I live in an apartment and it doesnt overwhelm the room.
I read lots of reviews before ordering so I kind of knew what to look for when I opened the box. All components are in a zippered compartment under sofa, this is a neat idea. A few comments were made that holes dont line up for the arms to be installed, they are listed A,B, C, D, I figured out pretty quick don't go by the letters for the arms, holes do line up, but they had the D going on the right and C on left, which was backwards with the hole alignment. So just plan on checking that out first and its a breeze. Very nice color the dark brown, plenty of padding for sitting on and very easy to put together only took minutes. We are using in a RV camper trailer and it works great, only weighs 88 lbs. You cant beat Walmart free ship to store. Came in a week early also.
First off, this is a great looking futon. I got it in dark brown for my living room. I read all of the other reviews before buying it. I like the look of this, but my only complaint is that it is small and a little harder than what I expected. 1. If you are looking for a couch that is soft and extremely comfortable, this couch is not for you. It is a very firm couch. 2. I saw a lot of people complaining how hard it was to put together. We had no trouble getting it together. All of the hardware is stored under the seat in a zipper. 3. It is easy to turn into a bed, however it is not very comfortable. Overall if you are looking for a small inexpensive couch, you will like this. If you are looking for an overly comfortable fluffy couch, this isn't for you. I am 5'6 and when I sit down with my back against the back of the couch, the seat part only hits the middle of my thighs.
I live in a basic Studio Apt and needed a Futon and Chair (which these came as a set). While shopping the EXACT same set, the price varied DRAMATICALLY ! Some of the holes in the fabric where you put the screws thru were not completely cut out, but not that big of a deal. Over all I am VERY happy with this purchase. It looks nice and better yet, it's comfortable ! I would HIGHLY recommend it for the price.
I bought two of these as an inexpensive replacement for other couches that my son wore out. The room is large, and the backs of these are very low. They look tiny in the room. They only hit an adult at mid back when you sit. Perfect for a child. Too small for adults. Easy to put together although two washers were missing and had to be replaced.
I got two of these, one red and one brown. I thought they would make nice contrasting look and they did. The fabric on them feel very nice. Tye are very comfortable. Unlike some futons, their backs are not lower than their front. You won't ever feel the wooden bars (yes, wood) underneath the cushion. But, it's been about a month now and their fabric started to loosen up a little. It doesn't look bad, but I really liked how it used to look when it was brand new. Check the attached photo to see what I mean by the loose. Don't get fooled by the picture, the color looks much better in real life. It's my phones led flash that made it look that strange color. Would I buy it again? Definitely. I tried many of futons before. Within its price range, and even above, I never came across one that is so comfortable.
This couch is absolutely perfect for my cute little dorm! It looks super classy for the price! It wasn't too bad to put together either. I love having it just for lounging or hosting overnight guests. I wouldn't recommend it for sleeping long periods of time, but it's great for guests. I love it for napping in between my classed. This sofa bed is really firm which some people may not prefer, but I do not find that to be a problem! When you lay or sit on it, you don't feel any uncomfortable bars or springs which was absolutely required for my liking. I'm 5'6'' and can lay on it all stretched out no problem. I can tell that this sofa bed will last me a long time! I TOTALLY recommend it, especially for small living space like a dorm, bedroom, or studio apartment.
This couch looks really good. I got the chocolate brown, and it's a nice looking piece. A little difficult to assemble, but not too bad - definitely use an electric screwdriver if you have one!! As for the bed...it is very short. And the cushions are very hard, but for occasional guests, it will work. Still trying to figure out what size sheets I can put on it.... Satisfied for the price!!!
I bought this couch because our old one was dirty and blue, so it didnt match anything. I got this sofa in brown. I am happy with the color, and it look clean and simple. IT is very firm, but not too hard to lay down on. Im 5'8" female, and I can lay down on it without bending my knees but hardly. I DO feel like when I sit on it, I look HUGE, because it is so small. Which is very disappointing. It is low to the ground and very small. I have it in a 2 br 2 bath apt. It would be a good couch for a dorm, or small office (if that) But its a nice place to lounge for the price. It shipped in 4 days. I did shipToStore. You should have a truck or SUV if you plan to pick it up. the box is huge, and very heavy over 100 lbs. all the pieces are inside the couch, I almost freaked when I thought they forgot the parts. assembly was simple and took about 10 minutes. Its a great futon. JUST TOO SMALL
I read all the reviews before I made my purchase and the pics (posted by Wal-Mart and even other reviewers) were nice. Something is extremely off because this is a child size futon! I am 5'3" and it was uncomfortable for me. The back was extremely short. My living room is small. I can only put a TV, sofa and cocktail table and this was still too small! It looks nice but this is not good for any size living room.
