Dear Dr., I had an ingrown toenail and I purchased this product. I bought it yesterday and was able to lift and trim the offending nail today just like the box says. I honestly thought your product was a bunch of hooey and I could not have been more wrong. In the past I have just dealt with the pain until it goes away or dulls over time. This product worked for me in 27 hours. I am thrilled and feel fantastic. Thank you, Dr. Scholl!
In grown toenails are very difficult to deal with. Decided to try this product. It was quite a search to find a store that wasn't sold out. Finally found a store that had just one left. Brought it home and applied it per package instructions. Amazingly it softened the nail and reduced the pain within 48 hrs. I then manicured the nail with little effort and no discomfort. Thank you Dr. S. !
I am so thrilled that this worked so well. Had an ingrown toenail on the corner of my big toe. Tried to cut it out but it was pressing on a nerve and was super painful. Thought I was going to have to go to the doctor to get it removed and was not looking forward to that but I just couldnt stand the pain anymore. Walking through the dru store i spotted this product. Really thought wgat have i got to loose. I was pretty amazed....1/2 hour after application most of the pain subsided and within a couple more hours it was gone completely. After just 2 days of using this I checked to see if the nail had softened and to my amazement, the piece that was causing the rrouble lifted right out with no effort. .....gone. I have a low tolerance for pain so I was extreemely thrilled. Gets my reccomendations across the board!!!
I was skeptical about this product, but as it was a 3-day weekend and I couldn't see the doctor, I figured "what the heck." As the package says, it takes repeated treatments to soften up the nail, however my pain was substantially diminished after I applied the gel for the first time! A few days later, I was able to take care of the problem nail. Until recently, I had no idea this product existed and I am thrilled that it works so well! Definitely recommend.
I had a very painful ingrown toenail. I could barely walk it felt like a pin was sticking in my toe. My mother bought me Dr. Scholl's ingrown toenail and I was thinking it wouldn't even help. I used it twice a day for 6 days and then I was able to cut the nail out without any pain. I cut it yesterday and my toe feels back to normal. Great product.
Perfect! The only product that works for my problem!
It reduces pain from an ingrown toenail and makes it easier to clip. It does not do anything to thin the nail (it doesn't say that it does, but I made that assumption before buying, so wanted to clarify) or make it easier to file or cut. Once you've been able to remove the offending part of the nail, monthly pedicures will be helpful; in my experience, the ingrown nail will grow back otherwise.
Product offered little or any relief nor did it correct the condition.
Got some outgrow on the whole left side of toenail. Now it is eating away my left side of my toenail, and at the bottom of nail. It is itching and all red. So beware of where you put this product it can ruin your nail.
Maybe it will work until the next time it has a chance to grow back. Do you do this over and over? It smelled horrible....and I mean horrible!!!! I admit I didn't give it a chance to work.... but when I think of the time to put it on and the STINK...I'm pretty sure I would not buy this product again. If I could get past the smell....maybe
