I needed this for some wooden designs and it worked perfect, just make sure you lay everything perfect because its difficult to take off..
I didn’t think this tape would be very sticky or do a very good job but boy was I wrong! It reminds me of duct tape but double sided! It truly holds my rug down on my pack patio.
This was my first time buying rug tape and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use it. Another great find at Walmart for an affordable price.
I purchased this ta;e to use for my throw rugs and it is excellent, preventing slipping and falling and keeps my rugs in place. I would definitely purchase this again and highly recommend it.
Ever since I started using this 3 yrs ago I will not....not have this in my home. I use for everything. Specially great for decorating inside or out n keep my rugs down when my dog gets excited n runs back n fourth like a nut. It's little tough sometimes cause I sweep every single day n have to get up off floor n put new down. Very strong
This isn't what I expected when I ordered it but I am pleased with it. It's basically double stick tape that seems *so far* not to leave any residue. I was using a rug pad under a runner on laminate and the guys in my house are so heavy footed it never stayed in place. I tried this and it had t budged once! I also have used it on area rugs that never lay down, so carpet to carpet, carpet to laminate and carpet to linoleum with great results!
I LOVE this stuff, and honestly, spend the extra buck and get the name brand. You will find it much easier to cut and more forgiving for mess ups. I love this stuff, for temporary rugs for winter time doorways, to permanent bedroom area rugs.
I've paid much more for carpet tape that simply does not work very well. I use it to put smaller rugs on top of my very short weave berber carpet. I want something that will hold when I vacuum over it and I believe this is going to do it. I can tell you one thing, you have to be very careful handling it as you wind up taping it to the rest of the tape, to the scissors, to your hands, to your clothes and it is not easy to pull off. Be sure to always keep a nice length of the clear paper protection to make it easier to unroll the sticky stuff. I have no idea what it would do on floors but the way it sticks to everything else I assume it will stick to floors also. And, a very good price. I paid much more for a much less efficient brand. NOTE: You'll have to clean your scissors with a brillo pad to get the residue of tape off them.
It doesn't have the strongest staying power but it mostly keeps my area rug from curling up on itself even though it's an area rug on top of carpet. If it were a smooth surface under the rug I'm pretty sure it would have much better results. I didn't expect the tape to even hold my carpet in place at all, so I'm satisfied with the results I have so far.
Both my bedroom and my son's bedroom floors can be quite slippery, so our rugs tended to slide. The ends also rolled up which caused a tripping hazard. I decided to try this tape as the review were pretty decent. I can't speak to its longevity as I just put it down this week, but it's working just as it should. Installation was easy, I followed the directions on the package and it holds the rugs in place and keeps the ends from curling up.
