Hearing Aid Batteries are air activated. When you pull the tab off you must let it sit in the open air for about 45 seconds to let air get in the very small holes to make them active. They can be in the Aid just don't close it up for the time required. If you close them up in the Aid their life span will be very short.
The Duracell Batteries come in an easy to open hard plastic case which is great for carring around. It's much better than the ones I've been using which come on a piece of cardboard. I love how easy the Duracell Batteries come out of the case. They are also easy to load into your hearing aid. After I wear them for a while I'll let you know how they hold up against the ones I've been wearing. Watch for my next review.
I have had a hearing aid using this size battery for quite a few years now and fairly recently bought Duracell batteries and am in awe of how long they last - I would barely get 2-3 days from another brand but the Duracell are lasting around 8 to 9 days and that is with all day use from the time I get up until I go to bed at night.
Not only do the Duracell hearing aid batteries last the longest, we find the packaging most helpful as my husband has neuropathy in his fingers. The hard case and long peel off tabs make it so easy for him to change the batteries. Thanks Duracell. Mr. and Mrs. Jim McNichols, Orlando,FL
I just finally put in one battery. It is as good as any other battery I have had. Pretty much the same so I don't expect it will last any longer than the others.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Duracell hearing aid batteries in my Bzzcampaign box. I was happy to try them out since batteries can get costly. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of changing out the batteries in my hearing aids. I loved the idea that they were long lasting and not toxic. Containing no mercury was not a previous concern because I needed the batteries regardless, but presented with an option that is mercury free is a bonus. The length of use has been holding up since switch to the Duracell batteries. I give these a thumbs up! Thank you for letting me try them!
At any given time the batteries will stop working & then later start again. I threw out several because I thought they were dead even though they had only been in use a couple of days. There is definitely something wrong with them. I'm switching brands.
I tried Duracell hearing aid batteries 312 for the first time today. Placed in the hearing aids at 8:45am and they were dead by 1:00p I was used to. Rayovac lasting about 11 days. Good bye duracell, welcome back rayovac.
Just wanted to express my displeasure with the Duracell 312 batteries. They continually give off a low battery sound and the life of the battery is 2-3 days compared to 5-7 days I get with non brand name products. I have had a continual problem since I got my new hearing aids last June. Had a similar problem when using with my prior hearing aids. My audiologists said she had heard similar complaints from other patients and suggests that her patients get drug store brand batteries since her patients say they have better success with them.
Poor quality hearing aid battery. Short life. Only 4 days. Other brands generally last about 6 days. Guess I'll switch back.
