I am now retired but have worked construction all my life. I know what to expect from this style of heaters. This item is a gem. I heat a large high bay area that holds 6 cars with room for workbenches and tools. The ceiling to this storage area is 20ft high and this heater raises the temperature to 60 degrees quickly and easily during freezing outdoor temps. The controls that are on this heater are pretty nice, better than what I am used to seeing on others. I commonly see other heaters at this price that deliver half the BTUs and have fewer features. Obvious to me, Sam's employs buyers who pick quality products. I also have thankful gratitude to Sam's Club for managing a messed up delivery situation, not the fault of Sam's Club. It was the carrier that botched the delivery (lost package, ha!) but a Sam's supervisor stepped in and graciously express shipped a replacement unit. A big Thank You to Mark Z.
Heats my 30' x 32' pole building in the northeast great. Lots of extra features. The thermostat is off from the room temperature probably because of heat generated from the heater housing affects the heater thermostat. Quick set up, has run perfectly for six weeks now. Slight odor, but I can deal with it. Perhaps it will burn off. Arrived three days after ordering. Definitely recommend this heater.
I just purchased this heater in November 2015 and I must say I am more than impressed with its ease of assembly and operation, as well as the fuel economy for the amount of heat that it delivers.
This is a very nice heater I have owned a few forced air heaters and this is the best yet. I like the digital and adjustable thermostat also the low and high heat settings (170,000 or 210,000 btu's). Very nice quality and it took 10-15 minutes to assemble.
this heater heats my 2,500 sq ft shop to 70 in gust a few minutes the tank holds about 10 gallons and can run for about 11 hours on a full tank. we have to turn down the thermostat and sometimes turn off the heater because the shop will get to hot from the amount of heat this unit produces. The kerosene smell when the unit is running is not bad at all. Great buy for the price.
I was expecting less from this heater than it was advertised. What a surprise, it exceeded my expectations and needs by quite a bit. I'm a woodworker hobbyist and my garage is unheated (living in New England) and I find this heater only needs to be on for about 5 minutes to warm my garage and keep it warm for at least an hour. Then I run it for another 5 minutes and good for another hour. The heat is immediate and I only need to keep my garage doors open about 8 inches when it is running. It was a super value.
keeps the area very warm in all conditions really nice
Our shop is very happy to be warm using the Dyna-Glo DELUX Portable Multi-Fuel Forced Air Heater - 210,000 BTU.
I would prefer to wait another month or so to evaluate. Reason being is because after the first couple weeks of it working well, I have had a problem with it shutting down and restarting every 15 or 20 seconds. Your cust. service rep has been very helpful in trying to solve the issue but so far, unsuccessful. I am awaiting a part that is on backorder for a month that hopefully solves my problem. I couldn't be more pleased with the attention I am getting from her and hope this time the new part does the trick. The last two items I was sent did not change anything.
Bought new at a really good price, used it one time and it worked great. The next day went to use it and all it would do is blow raw fuel out. Called Sam's Club and they did have the Company that makes them send me another product. They seem to have a problem with the thermostat which the new one has a second generation stat, & works nice. A very nice heater for the money runs clean and has every thing built in that you use to be an optional.
