Great product, never settle for cheap

great product, we already have dyson corded one but it was quite heavy for my wife to carry up and down stairs and this one is so light that even my kids can carry it without any issues. Earlier we tried a cheaper brand of cordless vacuum but returned it within a day as it was not even half of what our corded dyson could do and decided to go with the trusted name like dyson and it never disappoints you, highly recommended

Excellent!! Very light weight which I needed due to a shoulder injury.Love this vacuum, use it everyday. If you use on Max it will run out of battery pretty quick but if used on regular setting I can get the entire house vacuumed.

I'm in love with my vacuum!

I replaced my dyson ball with this new magnificent machine!!! This think is so lightweight and easy to maneuver all over my house, I'm looking for any reason to use it!!! Cleaning the cracks of the couch, cleaning out my car, vacuuming my ceiling fans!!! Literally the best purchase since my last dyson ❤️

I LOVE this!!!

It was a birthday present and I've definitely used it at least once every day since then (2wks ago) and I'm still amazed. I wish it lasted more than 30 min though husband pointed out this is more of an easy go to for quick stuff and I have a larger vacuum for longer use. I actually love it so much that I bought one for my mom for Christmas.

Amazing Vacuum Upgrade

Everyone in my family has one of these fancy Dyson vacuums so when I saw this one on sale, I jumped on it. I have an apartment that is roughly 1300 sq ft, a golden retriever, and two cats that shed like crazy. My old vacuums couldn't even begin to help me get some of the hair out of my apartment. This vacuum, however, was able to get into all the nooks and crannies and was able to remove so much hair on the first use. It does a really great job and getting hair out of my carpet in the bedrooms, and the attachments are great for getting it out of the couch and counters. I love vacuuming now! I will never go back to a corded vacuum. I will say that if you have a larger place, like a house or condo, I would recommend getting one of the newer vacuums (like the V10 or V11), because the battery life is pretty short and those have longer ones. Overall, I would definitely buy this vacuum again and I recommend it to everyone I know.

Game Changer

We've had horrible vacuums due to our limited space, but working from home has made the need for a REAL vacuum a reality. This thing is amazing. Light, portable, fast, and holds quite a bit in the bin. I wish it charged faster since the battery doesn't last long, but that's what I get for not getting the next model up. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed. I would die for my dyson.

Continuous improvement

Dyson never cease to impress me. I just received the Dyson V7 Motorhead and been using it for the past 6 days as a replacement for my V6, and here is what I think thus far. Slightly longer than the V6, the V7 offers additional runtime and suction power, at 30 mins on Normal Mode vs 20 mins on Normal Mode on the V6. Even with stronger suction power, which means the motor must be more powerful, the V7 noise level is actually lower than V6. When using it, the pitch sound is actually lower than that of V6, making it less intrusive to conversations around. The V7 is actually weight less than the V6 as well, although not obvious but quite noticeable when holding. The lighter weight makes it less straining to use for long duration of time, say, 20 minutes vacuuming around the house, with the motorhead on. This is makes it highly versatile and mobile to clean different places without the need of connecting to power, such as stairways. The suction power button is improved as well. On the V6 the suction power button is of push-in style located on the back of the machine, and to activate requires it to be pushed in during use, which makes the process awkward. Imagine you want to activate max suction power before starting vacuuming, but you need to power on the vacuum just to change it to max power mode; or when you need to change to normal mode but first need to power on the machine just to push in the power mode to change it back? Other than the blue light there's no any other indicator to state which mode it is under. If didn't realize it's on Max power mode then the battery would drain much quicker, resulting with less runtime, and more frequent visit to the charging station, given now that the battery is non-replaceable on these cordless machines. On the new Dyson V7 it is a switched button, in which can be changed before use or in-use, and clearly shows which mode it is currently in, giving users more control and insight, not to mention no more awkward movement to change move. Now that I've listed all the PROs, it's time for CONs. To be honest, After 6 days of use I couldn't find any but 1 problem I have with the V7, although it's a significant problem in my opinion. In previous generations, the to empty the bin on cordless machines, the user would have to press down a lever close to the trigger button to release the bottom lid. However, from time to time something would get stuck within the bin, between the bin wall and the inner chamber of the machine, and would require the use of long object to clean them out. Dyson attempted to improve on this, thus, on the V7, now the bin release lever is located on top of the machine. When pull lever, instead of just releasing the lid at the bottom of the bin, it actually pulls up the chamber, giving access to the inner chamber making it easier to clean. This is a direct improvement and wonderful idea, but at the same time a poor execution in my opinion. You see, the bottom lid opens because it is attached to a latch which is controlled by the opening or closing of the chamber. The bottom lid cannot be closed without first pushing the chamber back in, and this is where the problem lies. In order to push the chamber back in, a little force is required, as it is not a smooth slide-in process. This push-in action would cause the chamber to slam right back into the machine, no matter how light you try to push it, would cause vibration to the chamber as well as the bin, enough to shake off any dust residuals or whatever you may still have inside the bin, to come off and scatter on the floor. You may try to do it right on top of a trash bin, but most of the time I ended up re-vacuuming the spot where I released the lever. One way to make this word is after pulling the lever and cleaning out the bin, hold the bin lid closed with one hand, and push the top chamber back with another. This is the only way I've discovered, although the process seems awkward. The V7 is a beautiful and powerful cordless vacuum machine. I'm giving 4 stars only because of the chamber/bin issue I mentioned above.

Dyson makes incredible machines, but this one was clearly not made like the rest

I've had this machine awhile, and my parents and friends rave about dyson. I've used their dyson models and recommend them whole heartedly. This model however isn't as well received as the more “ pro “ / expensive models. The release system for the bin is unfavorable to the other models i.m.o. It also lacks the most important part. That satisfying hum sound the more expensive models make. I wish this one had that sound more than anything
