It's great to have a metal gas can again. Brings back memories of my dad's when I was a kid. And USA made still, made this brand a clear winner. if you want a nice spout, bump up to the Type II. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Pours good, funnel is easy to remove. Time will tell how durable the funnel is, but so far so good after 4 cans full. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Small and functional. Quality workmanship. Safety features work perfectly. No spillage when transporting fuel inside vehicle. No fumes in vehicle during or after transport. Funnel is functional when transferring fuel to generator. Expensive, but wrk worth the money. Life time purchase! Zoro has best in line price and delivery [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We'll worth the money for this beast! Good quality and made in the USA. I've seen trees smash these things and they continue to function well. The only downfall is it takes a while to empty this big unit, but I am good with that because the shutoff valve stops flow at the source (unlike other styles). These cans are a great way to transport diesel fuel. They are a great value for the money and much better than the plastic cans available in the home centers. They don't leak and can be carried in the back of a family mini-van if need be with out worry of spillage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased two of these very well designed and built 1 gallon Eagle Type I galvanized steel safety cans; one in Red and the second in Yellow. I did so because I wanted to be able to safely store and quickly recognize fuel for my two cycle and unmixed fuel. I selected 1 gallon Eagle containers because historically I haven't used 5 gallons of fuel in a season even when combining my two cycle and unmixed fuel needs. I selected this product because i was fed up with purchasing a plastic container with pouring spouts, which were "so safe they weren't usable". The supplied yellow funnels are high quality in addition to being, "goof proof". [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Much cheaper at Zoro.com than anywhere I found and free shipping when I purchased 3.Eagle gas containers are theBEST on the market. Metal with spring loaded gas cap. Seals with no smell of fuel when transporting. I intend on purchasing at least 2 more for gifts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My recent purchase included two Eagle gas cans in the two gallon size. A red and a yellow. Typically I'm using these for mixed oil/gasoline combinations for leaf blowers and other small fuel consuming tools. I keep the red can filled with gasoline and the yellow one with a 50/50 mix. I like these cans for practical as well as esthetic reasons. They pour well, don't ever tip over due to the wide footprint, and it's simple to tell the difference between the gas and the mix with the two can colors. From an industrial design standpoint, these are a timeless, with clear and simple graphics on the sides, and being made in West Virginia is a nice touch too. One thing I would add is that the plastic spout needs a good push to get it in place and a good pull to remove it. I actually called customer service (which was excellent) to get that advice. Classic America. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This can is stored in garage for emergency generator. Safety is the number one concern since it is an attached garage. Primarily full during Hurricane Season and empty the remainder of the year Quality construction and safety features were the reasons I spent money on an expensive gas can. Funnel is simple to attach. The wire strainer located in the neck. Will aide in catching deposits and debris before they get in your gas. Lid closes tightly and firmly. The only reason I did not rate as 5. There is no feature to hold open the lid when filling. Over all satisfied! #sweepstakes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
