Met my expectations

I was looking for a light portable mower since I have a small yard. I didn't want to mess with gas or electrical cords either and besides they make too much noise. So I decided to get this one after reading the reviews. I got mine from the local store and it's a little different from the illustration. It's the same brand and price, but the handles are different. It's very easy to maneuver and does a good job. It even cut through weeds (I don't know what kind of weeds they are). It won't cut through tall grass like others have mentioned. You do have to trim it a little and make sure to keep it under control. Other than that, it does what it's suppose to. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and most important I'm helping the environment.

Best investment for my needs and my health

I bought this lawn mower so that I could be more independent performing my responsibilities. I am disabled and had a heck of a time getting gas for the old mower and an even harder time starting the gass mower. Now when the yard needs to be mowed I don't need to ask someone to get me gas, I do not have to pay for gas, and the energy I used to start the old mower is now enegy spent quietly mowing the yard, even at 6 a.m. if I want to. The mower performs nicely and people have complimented my yard work. It feels good to be outside mowing and it looks good afterwards.

This product assembled easily out of the box with simple and clear instructions which were easy to follow (only the handle needed to be assembled). It works easily, cuts cleanly, and otherwise is extremely satisfactory requiring no adjustments from the factory presets. Small sticks will stop the reel, but that is unavoidable with a manual, reel-type mower. My wife wanted this product to cut several small areas near her flower beds where she did not want the large mower and she wanted one without gas or cord. She is extremely satisfied with this machine. An excellent product and at a reasonable price.

Mow ON.

This is a great product if you don't want to waste money on purchasing gas or have the space to store a large mower. It works great except for some stiffer weeds. But usually a second or third pass does the trick. I like using my mower and it gives a great little work out. I highly recommend this mower.

A Swedish study conducted in 2001 concluded that air pollution from cutting grass for an hour with a gasoline powered lawn mower is about the same as that from a 100-mile automobile ride. Because of this, I decided to get a more environmentally friendly mower. I initially wanted a cordless electric mower, but they are way out of my price range. This mower is cheap, was easy to put together, and, best of all, uses no gas or oil. I mowed my entire lawn with it, and it was not bad at all. I've been wanting to get in shape, and this mower will definitely help me do that. They only problem I had was that it does not cut crab grass (I don't have much , so this isn't too much of a problem) or dandelions, which I usually pick and feed to my rabbits and tortoise anyway. The benefits far outweigh these little annoyances.

I have a small yard that needs trimmed about once a week. This economical, and environment friendly, product works great for my needs! You just have to make sure the front wheels are spinning or the blades won't turn. Plus, it helps keep you in shape, but it won't wipe you completely out. My wife has also used it and she likes it too!

Only cuts the softer grasses. The weedy, stiffer grasses just bend over and pop back up. After using this mower, my lawn looked pathetic. I had to get someone to come over the next day and mow again with a power mower. I'm going to try sharpening the blades and see if that helps, but the blades look and feel sharp already.

Terrible

This thing is tough. I had to go over my lawn 4 times before it looked decent and it still looked bad compared to a gas mower. Sure its environmentally friendly, but I almost chucked it in the river after trying to push it uphill. I am actually on my way out the door to buy a real mower.

Steer Clear

This product is a complete waste of money. From Day One, right out of the box (post-assembly), I have been continually disappointed with the "performance" of this mower. The wheels flatten the grass they roll over, meaning that, when you go to cut that particular strip of grass, it will pass right under the mower blades (regardless of the height setting) without any harm. This means having to do 2 things: Rake the grass back to a standing position and make a second pass from a different direction. That's right, you get to cut the lawn TWICE... at LEAST. As for the grass that doesn't get flattened, if it is longer than 3 inches, or if it is tougher than the average blade of grass, it will get bent over by the leading edge of the mower and also be missed by the cutting blades. All in all, there are better ways to spend your time and money than by using this product.

Have to unassemble to attach handle

Well, I don't know how it works because I can't put it together. Seemed like it would be simple...just assemble the handle and slide it over the pegs on the wheel section. But, no. With the wheel section coming already assembled, there is no way to attach the handle without taking the wheel section apart. Metal doesn't bend.
