I have had a couple make-up make-overs, and when it came to brushes, the prices where just too much for me to consider after totaling up the cosmetic prices. I started shopping reviews online, and saw good reviews for this product, so for under $10.00, I though I'd give this one a try. Not disappointed, and sorry I didn't try it before now. The trick is to dot your concealer first, under/over your eyes and on those trouble spots, and then dot your foundation in "W" patterns over your forehead, cheeks, across your nose and under your nose, along your chin line and then gently blend, blend, blend using stippling and short strokes. Twice a week wash your brush out with mild soap and water and dry with clean face cloth, and reshape the bristles and lay it down on the same face cloth to air dry. Not a big deal or requiring any huge effort.
The EcoTools brushes are really pretty, using sustainable resources such as bamboo. The handles are easy to handle and lightly lacquered. Metal adornes the top to hold the soft bristles in place tightly. The bristles are synthetic taklon bristles that are really soft and really allow you to get the right coverage of foundation with it's broad face. Using this brush was a lot better than the one I paid more for so I was impressed. As with make-up tools it is best to wash your tools every 3 months, and air dry, to keep them looking good as well as keep from spreading yucky bacteria all over your face. Packaging is plastic front with cute leaf green fabric backing for storing your brushes away and has a tuck in flap. **I recieved this item for free in exchange for my open and honest opinion of the product**
I have had a lot of brushes - and this EcoTools CLASSIC FOUNDATION Brush is my VERY favorite! I use it to apply cream, foundation and concealer to my face. I always dampen it with warm water and squeeze excess water out between two fingers and it spreads everything just beautifully! I clean my brush after every use with foaming soap and warm water, squeeze between two fingers, and let it dry in an upright position. I am still on my original brush - which I have owned for years - and it still LQQKS BRAND NEW! I own a lot of EcoTools Brushes and, I have to say, they are the VERY BEST!! They always stay really soft, the handles are the perfect length, I have never had one shed a single bristle and most of all: THEY NEVER SMELL! I have had brushes that absolutely STINK! These have NO smell at all. EcoTools BRUSHES are EXCELLENT!! I just love everything about them!
The "EcoTools" Flat Foundation Brush #1202 , is a brush made with all recyclable material, from it's bamboo handle to it's soft as air bristles...this is a must need for applying a soft clean foundation on your face. From the first swipe on your cheeks, it is so soft you can't even feel it's going on...It's bristles are designed to cover and smooth out your makeup while seeing a difference using this brush. "EcoTools" makes all there fine products using all recyclable materials even right down to the pouch it came in, which is good for the environment and cost efficient for the consumer...I recommend this product from "EcoTools" for all those who use, and need a good quality foundation brush that is sure to last for a long time...
Is that not stressful if your foundation brush don't do the job correctly and you are on the run in early morning? yes indeed .. that why having the right tools help you to speed up the make up process with the results you expecting. I used many of the EcoTools Bamboo brushes in the past, and this one is one of my favorite . It have oval half flat shape that allow you to work your foundation nicely especially around the eyes , nose, mouth. I use it with mineral foundation as well with liquid. Great for contouring your face. The result is nice and flat skin surface after the application , good for re touch-ups or for canceler , helping speed the process a lot, while also making it easier to apply and blend your foundation, its too soft and luxurious to not to use. The long (5 inch) handle allow you to balance the brush nicely in your hand or store in your high make-up brush cup. It is not limited to foundations only, it can be used with eye shadows PROS Easy to clean Dry fast after cleaning No Bristle Fallout Soft Bristles Eco friendly Cruelty-free bristles Bamboo handles Natural and recycled materials. Taklon (synthetic) bristles My honest review is based on a true experience with this product
I don't usually use a foundation brush so I thought I'd give this one a try. It actually works great. The bristles on the brush are soft on the face and easy to use. I put some foundation on the brush, not a lot, then dotted my face with a dot on each cheek, two dots on my forehead and one on my chin then proceeded to spread it around my face. I stared on my chin and went upward toward my cheek blending in by the nose and then towards the forehead blending into the hairline. This brush was comfortable in the hand and was very easy to use. I found that I used less makeup than when using your fingers and that the makeup didn't feel greasy or built up. I was amazed that my skin felt good after using the brush and how well it blended the makeup. The clean up of the brush was very easy and it dries fairly quickly. I would recommend cleaning the brush after every use Since there are so many videos on how to use the foundation brush, I'm only showing some photos. Pros - Easy to use Bristles are soft/gentle on the face Uses less makeup Spreads makeup evenly and blends into hairline, etc Easy to clean Drys within an hour Cons - Pouch has a small opening - hard to get brush out of and into All in all I would recommend this brush. Very glad that I decided to try it
The EcoTools classic Foundation brush is a reliable, affordable, and solid brush to have on hand. I use this for more “everyday” or quick prep days. I love my designer brushes as well, but the EcoTools brushes work great as well. This one is designed for easy handling and use! It has flat, packed bristles to easily work with liquid or cream foundation. The result is a smooth and flawless base without streaks. I love that EcoTools products work well, they're affordable, and they're easy to find stores. The brand's products are also vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and made with recycled and renewable materials. Even the plant-based packaging is biodegradable #brush #foundationbrush #makeup #makeuptools #ecotools EcoTools Classic Foundation
I wasn't sent a retractable brush; what I got was a flat brush. It seems good, even though I can't use it for what it's intended, but I can use it for powder. The bristles are soft, and the whole thing seems very well-made. I like that is made from bamboo & recycled materials, and has cruelty-free bristles. If it was retractable, I'd definitely use it. It says it applies cream or liquid foundation evenly, and I certainly don't doubt that.
Love this brush! It feels like I am painting on my foundation, which in my case is what I need. Before this I had an expensive brush and I felt as though the foundation got stuck in the bristles. I bought the rest of this line in brushes
First I didn't like the price but got it because I wanted to blend my liquid foundation better. Out of all the brushes I have bought from this line this was my least favorite. It was hard for me to blend with it. I could apply it easily but not blend.
