These speakers are excellent. Sound and volume are very good, and base notes are extraordinary despite the absence of a subwoofer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a very expensive digital piano that had some internal amplifier issues. It was about 20 years old and the only problem was the sound coming through the original speakers was distorted. Parts are no longer available for it according to my service technician. We did notice that when you used the headphone jack, the sound was clear. So I did some research and found great reviews on theses speakers and took a chance on ordering them so that I could hook them up to the piano's headphone jack and use them instead of the piano's internal speakers. I was a little hesitant because this piano is not your basic digital piano but back in the day cost almost $5,000 and has over 120 sounds including powerful organ and brass sounds, so the speakers needed to be something that could handle the low bass notes and still be clear on the high notes. I am totally satisfied with the R2000DB speakers. There is no distortion with them, they have room shaking bass and are crystal clear on the high notes. I have owend CrewinVega speakers, Bose and Infinity and had never heard of Edifier, but trust me, they hold their own with these top name brands. They sounds every bit as good as or even better than the original speakers on the piano. I couldn't be happier. For just over $200, I am able to continue to use my piano and hopefully for many more years to come. Whether you're using these as I did or if you're getting them for a bookshelf system or to hook up to your home entertainment system, I would say you will be very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the finsh and especially the awesome sound!!

Great sounding speakers. 4 inputs 1Digital Optical, 2 RCA l/r unbalanced, and 1 bluetooth. These sound so good I am no longer using a $10,000 dollar system I had hooked up to my PC. Good Bass. Master volume and bass and treble controls. The remote is small compact with nice functions. Plenty of Cable for putting distance between the speakers. Brian K Martin
I am not an audiophile, but these speakers sound good to me. They are very versatile. I use them instead of my analog TV's built in speaker, and to listen to music and podcasts from my iPhone via Bluetooth. My TV's poor quality speaker used to be just annoying, but as my hearing got worse I was having trouble understanding dialog. Simple amplification did not completely solve the problem because the TV's speaker was simply not producing a full enough range of sound. With these speakers I can enjoy my TV again. They were easy to hook up and use. I also look forward to using them with a 30-year old analog turntable, but will need to get a preamp to make the speakers loud enough. They are designed to have up to two analog sources plugged in at once so you don't need to plug and unplug sources. They switch from one analog input to another very simply with the remote, or to Bluetooth input. My only complaints are that the remote is so small as to be slightly awkward to handle, and that the printed and online manual are not very detailed. Online help has been excellent.
One of the pair of speakers has to be plugged into a power source, and the second speaker is connected by wire to the active speaker, so you're at most saving one wire. I got these speakers to connect by bluetooth to my computer and play music on my porch. The speakers looked and csounded good, in the same room as my computer and stereo (where I already have very nice wired speakers), but the bluetooth connection consistently failed on the porch. I'm returning the speakers..
