I use this ti make green chili pork but the price has gone up almost $2 , ridiculous!!?
Good flavor nice and chunky
The best jarred salsa around
One of our favorite items- we use to get at the actual e pinto restaurant in New Mexico
I love this salsa it is the perfect temperature and the flavor I like of roasted green chili. I have used it for a long time and is ALWAYS consistent to the first time I tired it and that makes a huge difference to me.
Wonderful- tastes like Santa Fe and all it's beauty. Many uses and pretty much perfect
They shouldn't call this "green chile sauce". It's mostly chopped tomatoes with a few green chiles thrown in. Green chiles should be the main ingredient. Their "red chile sauce" is just red chile and a few extra ingredients. I've been to El Pinto Restaurant in Albuquerque many times and their food is very good. This sauce, however, is a big disappointment.
I got the Medium and boy it was HOT! Most other Medium salsa strike a good balance with just enough heat, but not this one. I literally had 2 bites and had to stop because of getting the hiccups (I'm embarrassed, I know). Beyond that, the flavor was bland. Maybe it was the hatch chiles, but there was not much that came through on the taste that justified the pain with the heat.
This is basically chopped up tomatoes with a couple small chunks of green chilis thrown in which is why it tastes like watery tomatoes, no flavor whatsoever.
I'm sure that it is fine. I wanted green not red
