Delivery was a bit slow but it did arrive w/in the same day. No problems getting the $35 credited to my T-Mobile account. I hope this format continues to be available since it has become pretty much impossible to find the $35 T-Mobile broadband pass cards in the Walmart brick and mortar stores.
I dumped my phone off of a major carrier in favor of this Hotspot. Works perfectly both outdoors and indoors in my city. I can use Skype, Viber, Pinger etc. to make and receive calls and the internet works perfectly. Had to call customer support to get this going on the Walmart plan and they were knowledgable and friendly and had it up and running in no time. The $35 60 day plan is now available immediately from my dashboard. This will save me thousands of dollars a year. The internet runs at about 10 Mbps per sec. outdoors or at home and 3-4 Mbps indoors. I live in a great city for T-Mobile and buying it at Walmart gives me the 60 days. Unbeatable. I am more than thrilled.
I followed the instructions on the email delivery but it took a phone call to T-mobile to find out that I had to call to have the data entered in my account. The $35 was there, but no data. After it got straightened out, I logged on at work, & had an excellent connection. T-mobile did indeed honor the extra month that Walmart.com gives you for this data plan. Great bargain! I probably won't use much of the data, but it's still the cheapest plan around at $17.50/month.
followed email instructions to activate...I have purchased this card before too...when I got to destination away from home router where I needed this service it did not work...message was that card had expired which made no sense...had to call TMobile customer service to explain with supporting purchase info that I had purchased the HotSpot from Walmart last year and purchased the $35 card from Walmart online so I should get 60 days...in a few moments all was resolved...still it took another phone call beyond the original call to make it work...
I recently purchased a T-Mobile mobile broadband (Mi-Fi) device from Walmart. These refill cards delivered as a PIN by email are a convenient way of purchasing data for your plan. I received the PIN within about two minutes of completing my purchase. Although I found the activation of the device somewhat confusing, eventually things fell into place and my mobile hotspot is up and running well. The Walmart plans do last for up to 60 days, and to me that gives them an edge compared to other broadband plans such as Virgin Mobile. If you get good T-Mobile service and don't stream a lot of video and such, it's a pretty reasonable price compared to the competition. Still, $10 per GB is not what I would call cheap, so don't fritter away your data on stupid cat videos on YouTube.
The Walmart half of the transaction went fine. They use a third party to complete the transaction, and they are pretty poor. It says that they will activate in an hour. 24 hours later I finally got a phone call asking to verify my transaction, and they sent the pin a half hour later. I have bought these cards in the store and the process is simple - scratch the back, and activate. When you buy online, the third party is added to the mix and that slows the process way down.
Works great for on the go use but not for everyday use. Will run out of data quickly and have to reload before the month is over.
if u live in a metropolitan area with real good signal strength it probably works good but in the outskirts go with something else.
Unfortunately, T Mobile would not honor the 60 days for $35, but instead I had to take 30 days for $30.
the product is ok but is such a hassle to activate it. there is a toll number to do it after taken all information the bot tells you the account is already credited, when you try to use it it says you need to purchase a card to activate it, I call customer service and talk talk to different people being transfered to a specialized department, they ask for passwords which I never remember to have set up, at the end they give me a phone number to set up a password and this number is a travel promotion advertising answering machine, I spent almost an hour trying to activate it, after I received a confirmation that the card had been already credited. Unbelievable poor customer care for this product from T mobile
