This item is not always stocked in store. Last time I tried to purchase card the salesperson had to go thru about 10 cards on the rack before one would swipe at the cash register. Ordering on line is simple, easy and I would recommend it to anyone

Perfect for my use as I don't upload heavily

This is a great price for high speed access if you don't need more than 1 GB a month. I don't upload much, just browse a lot so I'm not running out and have only 10 days left and 1/2 my time on the card! A more expensive card would be a waste for me. This is great.

Works as expected. Can't beat the value!

I've shopped around and I've tried many mobile broadband services. Nothing beats the value of Virgin Mobile Pre-Paid Broadband. For $20 you get 1GB for 30 days (Walmart Exclusive.) No one else has has that! Also, this is Pre-paid. There is no 2 year commitment, so you can add service only when you need it. Even if you need it for only a few days for light usage, there's a $10/10 day plan. This is perfect for my occasional needs. If you need this as your primary broadband provider or need this on a monthly basis, there could be better alternatives (shop around.) Also, you can only get a max 2.5GB per month on their "unlimited" plan before they slow your service down to uselessly slow speeds, so make sure your requirements match the plans. This is virgin mobile, so it uses the Sprint network for service. Check your coverage. The only cons are the Virgin/Sprint coverage area does not go to some rural places. Virgin Mobile is in itself has poor customer service. The MiFi itself has more features than I expected. It has 3 security profiles. The default "secure" is a standard WPA setting that requires password. They have a wide open profile if you wan to set it up as an open AP. It has a 3rd profile that you can set up a temporary secure hot spot for sharing (temporary password and SSID.) You can disable the LEDs so it runs in stealth mode. It also has all of the basic features you'd expect from a wifi router. My only complaint about this product is that you can not charge it while it's turned off. As soon as you connect the power to the charger it turns on and you can not turn it off. This is very inconvenient. It does come with a short USB cable so you can connect it to your laptop's USB port for power. However I noticed the documentation mentioned that when you connect it to a laptop via USB, the wifi will stop working? (I didn't try this.)

Very happy with Virgin Mobile and very happy with Walmart supplying this type of service. Only minutes after completing the sale, Walmart has the PIN for the card delivered to my email and I turn around, put it on my Virgin Mobile account and I am done! Thanks VM and Walmart!

This refill is good for 1 gig of data. I found virgin (sprint towers) to be a solution for my occasional need when traveling. 1 gig is plenty for most users unless you are downloading movies or lots of pictures and music. Had signed up for the 5 gig and found I did not even use 1 gig. This is great for someone who does not want to get tied to a 2 year contract and actually cheaper also. I have found sprint to have superior coverage and service compared to other wireless data providers and I travel all over the country. You must purchase the air card which is less $80 which is the only drawback but you will not have to pay $120 + to cancel the service if you don't keep it for 2 years. I know I had to pay sprint $120.

This works as mentioned - when topping off my Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go MiFi 2200 Prepaid Broadband Device on the Virgin Mobile Website; it does show up as the Walmart 1gb exclusive for $20 which otherwise you would only get 500 mb from regular Virgin Mobile purchase.

If you are a pretty light user, this should be good for one-month's worth of internet access. It does take a while at times for my laptop to connect to the network, but once that is done there have been no issues. I like not being a slave to an extended contract, so this definitely fits the bill.

I first have to say I live way out in the country and getting connection is VERY RELIABLE. No dropped service and I am always able to connect. My reason is stated below and if Wal-Mart decides not to carry a contract with them I will find another option to go with. That being said Virgin Mobile change their plans on a regular basis and purchasing through their online store is outrageous in price. Originially their plans were 1 month for so much data. Now they have added a time limit which you watch the meter go down very quickly. Wal-Mart online is your best bet for top-up. Do not plan on walking into a Wal-Mart and find a top-up card on the shelf. I work for Wal-Mart and it truly is a hit and miss thing at all of my areas stores. Wal-Mart is contracted with them so only purchase through Wal-Mart, it's MUCH cheaper. I just purchased it online through Wal-Mart and that will be how I top-up from here on out. It was a fast, class act purchase!

Poor customer support. I have called the technical support department for more than 6 times during the last 2 weeks and they have yet to correct this situation. I did not receive the PIN number in my email. I requested that the email be sent to the SAME ADDRESS and they still havent sent me anything!! I am writing this very frustrated. Is it too much too ask that I get what i paid for????? While I know the amount is only $20 for the prepaid card( which i requested over and over again to be sent to the address that is indicated in the order) but the support personnel have not corrected the problem.
