I purchased this card from Walmart after I had purchased the Virgin Mobile 760 modem as I didn't feel that 1 Gig was quite enough. I have used this modem almost every day and I haven't even used up half of the minutes as yet. My son and I plan to share it (at different times) and also take it on the road so for now the $40. topup card is the one for us. We get a really good connection and you can't beat the price. Thanks Walmart for helping America out !!
Everything was great, delivery was a bit slower than my expectations.
Buying Top Ups from Walmart is an easy way to keep your account up to date. Now that Walmart takes PayPal, it is very easy for me. The Virgin Mobile service is pretty good, but their customer service is below average. I don't need to use customer service very often so it is not a deterrent for me. If you need hand holding to use your service/phone, don't use Virgin Mobile.
This top up card is great if you can get a discount on it, otherwise there is no need or reason to get a top up card. It may be a bit confusing to load the card amount to your account and then from your account to apply the amount towards your monthly usage.
Best value in cellular for Android users in areas where coverage is available. No contract with the best price, cant beat it!
Works fine
My broadband to go router is connecting at 4g. It is on 24 hrs daily. Download speeds are very good and Netflix and Hulu video is high quality with no buffering. I have not noticed any slowing down, or thottling and its almost the end of the month. Considering the card is almost half of monthly cable and I can take it with me, I think it is a great value. The card provides a credit on Virgin Mobile. With the credit you can buy service. The card leaves a $5.00 credit after buying a months service. I think Virgin Mobile could simplify the Data TopUp system.
At first it would not activate and found that the card you sold me was out of date I paid you $40.00 and they said I needed $50.00 to activate it, so I had to pay the extra $10.00 to get it to work after that it was fine. But you really need to update your product so people aren't frustrated trying to get it to work because the cards you have don't until you reach a tech and update to the $50.00. It was a big problem for a few days. Not very pleasant.
The virgin mobile website does not recognize this as an unlimited data purchase, but only $40 cash available.
I had previously bought the Virgin Mobile mifi and $40 unlimited plan. But this time when I bought what I expected to be and what was displayed as the $40 unlimited air card,I could only use it to buy $40 of airtime-not unlimited. So, I had to use it to buy two $20 2Gb air cards. I could not get the $40 unlimited choice.
