Excellent joystick! The perfect arcade companion for the wonderful NES Classic Edition (Nes Mini in Europe). It also works with Wii U! Bring the nostalgia back!
I bought mine on Lougheed Mall store, and it was not working but I sent an email to support@poweredbyemio.com with the title: FREE NES CLASSIC EDITION GIFT PACK with name and address + pictures of my joystick + receipt. After 2.5 weeks I received the pack! It is working plus free stuff.
Okay, so to confirm, I bought this for my NES Classic Edition, and it works! So don't listen to the other reviews. I will note that the bag with the cord was ripped open and had an NES Classic adapter sticking out, but that doesn't matter as long as it works. One thing I will note is that it is not a 2-player controller like it used to be, so buy two or have the regular controller on hand for friends. I love that it comes with two different knobs for the joystick.
Their 2 version the v.1 No.00136 v.2 No.00141-2 the secound fixs all the defect of vesion 1 people donât know this joystick has a hidden âgemâ this joystick can be modded to install âSanwaâ parts research the name and yea theres no soldering required just connections I order two joystick one for 4 way directions and one for octagon direction I had learn a lot but I also know who ever read this ebay and other site the price for this joystick new is going up donât reconmend getting used because you may end up with the old defective version or a broken v.2 and the both use the same serial number on the botton of the joystick so itâll be kinda difficult to find a decant v.2 and as from writing this review the company donât have them instock and most likely discontinue because the nes classic and the snes classic will be dicontinue the end of 2018 walmart thank you very much for such a great price who ever read this donât waste your time debating just get the joystick if not youâll reggret it in the long run when the price hike come and it becomes RARE item remmeber v.2 âNo.00141-2â
Works great for me as product describes (must use appropriate connection adapters provided). Personally found it useful on some game types but not others, like Donkey Kong for example; gameplay felt clunky. But overall I found it worth the price. My usage has been light to medium in terms of longevity and review is based on my initial experience/gameplay of all NES Classic games with this controller.
Picked this joystick up to use with PAC-MAN and Galaga. It works great with Galaga but for PAC-MAN it was a little disappointing. When the joystick is engaged in any direction it doesn't always result in movement making it hard to play PAC-MAN

We recently got the Classic NES console and wanted to get a better controller. Unfortunately, this one isn't much better than the small controller that is included with the console. The joystick is finicky and doesn't move in the right direction. The joystick handle also spins around and around. I thought this controller would make all the difference when trying to play all the games I loved as a kid, but unfortunately, it just doesn't. I'll probably return it.
Just and FYI this does not work with the NES classic. They are telling people they forgot to add the adapter to make it work, but the truth is they just assumed it would work as is. The customer service from Interworks is poor. They say the are mailing adapters but no work yet. It will however work on your VC games from the Wii and Wii-U.
Everything looks great. However, out of the box, nothing worked like it should. I attempted to email the company. No contact information provided with the item. And when I went to their website, you could only contact by email. Which they did not respond to. This is the Edge V2 that should work with the NES Classic Console. It doesn't. Avoid.
