We love this dishwasher so much that we are looking for the same model to put in our new house. Dishes come out so clean and it's so quiet.
Beautiful exterior and stainless interior, super quiet . Hidden controls, jets on top rack for hard to clean items. 2 racks for stemware on top rack. A stand-alone slider rack for for utensils. Such a super smart design. Cleanable filter on bottom of dishwasher that's easy to reach.
I bought this dishwasher in November and didn't get it delivered until the end of January. It was quite the hassle to install, but it has been worth every minute. Half the time I do not even know that it is on and I look to see if the light is on so that I can know for sure. It does an amazing job washing, but my only issue is that my dishes are still quite wet when it is finished. The cycles to take a long time, but that is not an issue for me. I run my dishwasher before I go to bed, so that's not a downfall for me. I just really wish that my dishes would not need to be dried by hand after they have spent such a long time being dried already. Otherwise, I would spend the money all over again. It was very well worth it!
Just bought and installed last Thursday June 24th and so far after only 2 loads being washed, all of the dishes on the top shelf, the glasses, etc, and all of plastic plates, bowls and much of the silverware on the bottom shelf have a heavy soap residue etched on them. We are using liquid cascade and jet dry and this shouldn't be happening. The door and the entire inside has thick soap residue all over it. It's wonderful at getting food and drinks off that haven't even been rinsed before loading and it is so quiet!! It would get 5 stars if there wasn't an issue with heavy dried on soap residue! We will be trying some different options like less soap or different detergent and pods to see if this is the issue.
I loved this dishwasher until today. I've had the dishwasher just under 4 years and now nothing works. I've double checked the outlet and breaker, so it is not power on my end. While waiting forever to speak with someone at GE appliances, I started reading reviews. Looks like I'm a victim of the faulty circuit board that so many speak of in their reviews. Average lifespan appears to be 3-4 years, not what I was hoping to read. Debating if I'm going to spend the money to have someone look at it or just suck it up and buy a new dishwasher. From the reviews, it costs about the same. Still looks awesome and brand new but who cares about looks when it won't even power on.
I owned this dishwasher for 4 years and for the past year and a half it has leaked all over our floor. I've noticed similar reviews online with the same problem. There's a vent cap on the inside of the door that doesn't seal properly and allows condensation to accumulate inside the door panels, which then runs out the bottom onto the floor. It creates a huge mess with every cycle.
CIRCUIT BOARD BAD 2 TIMES NOW!!! RUBBER ON THE BOTTOM DETERIORATED AND LEAKED EVERYWHERE! CABLE CAME OFF THE DOOR BALANCER!!!
We bought this appliance in 2020. It is a total piece of crap! Shortly after we got it, it started making this beeping sound like the door was opening, it would do this day and night. Finally it quit working. Got on, YouTube learned how to reset it, and it worked for about a month, and then died completely. I was at my brothers house in Minnesota this summer, heard the same sound, and a feeling of dread came over me. Shortly after I got home, my sister-in-law called and said hers died also. I will never buy another GE appliance again, totally disgusted!
Less than 5 years old; control panel malfunctioned: door spring snapped; was told it can't be fixed; also told this model is no longer being made. Matches my other slate GE appliances but I'm wary to buy GE products again.
Only lasted 4.5 years before water pump or something stop water flow. :(
