I am somewhat anemic and have weak muscles also. I start my day with one of these as my breakfast AND sometimes instead of coffee. I'd rather it had less sugar. But I need the protein so this is the best I've found without milk.
This has saved my father's life,if he has not been drinking this,I wouldn't have my Dad now.
High protein helps heal. Product is low in sugar and carbs. High in protein.
After having a bad stomzch episode I lose weight which I do not want to do. I drink one ensure thru the day not in place of a meal. I sip it whenever I pass buy the frig and it works. I get the high protein one and this does not have hi fat which I do not want and also the sugar is low and tasty. It takes 2 weeks and I get the weight back on
LOVE HAVING TO BE ABLE TO HAVE MAILED TO MY P.O. BOX WE LIVE 20 ISH MILES FROM ANY TOWN NEAR US AND I HATE GOING ANYWHERE OFF MY DREAM PROPERTY AND YA GO IN THE STORES AND THEY ONLY HAVE 6 PACKS OR A 12 PACK BOX AND I ONLY GO INTO TOWN TO GROCERY SHOP ONCE A MONTH OR LONGER I SHOULD HAVE AND WILL NEXT TIME ORDER THE CHOC SEPERATE FROM VANILLA MAKE THEM TWO SEPARATE ORDERS AS BOX WAS TORE HOLDING THAT MUCH
I am 60 years old now. I actually started drinking the high protien ensures in the vanilla flavor the day I turned 60( Sept,5). I can attest to all others,especially women of my age that without a single doubt this vitamin infused high protien drink has helped in the most valued physical healthy ways! I drink 2 each day. I feel way better. My hair shines...that is the most noticable visual sogn you will experience. My energy is up. Stomach feels great. skin and hair look better then ever!!
This product definitely fills a niche for those who are looking for a high protein snack/meal that also is relatively low in carbs (19/4sugar) and is not overloaded with fermentable fiber. The 23 vitamins and minerals are a nice bonus for those who don't always get time to take their supplements. I believe it tastes better than Core Power (which has 18g of added simple sugars), which I have used for seven+ years, but it is lighter (more 2% milk-like) in flavor than Boost100's Vanilla Caramel. I use both the Ensure and Boost100 together to provide higher protein in a 260 calorie meal mainly because I favor the Boost100 flavor a bit. My family members young and old enjoy it as a snack.
I mixed this with a smoothie. I am getting my energy back. What a good feeling to get up and go. This product is an A It does work. If you don't believe me. Buy it and try it and see what happens. Now it takes time to get into your system . Give it a week or so. I am not being paid to tell you this. I do not like to do reviews, but this one I did. Remember it doesn't work in one day. Every one's body is different. If I didn't believe in this product, I would not give this review.
I like the regular ensure strawberry a lot. This vanilla high protein is chalky and has a plastic after taste yuk. Will never buy again. To save money I will buy carnation instant mix with milk chocolate.The search for a high protein vanilla for after work outs continues however.
As you can see by the description of the item purchased there is supposed to be 24 8oz. bottles (1.5gal). When it arrived I received 2 8oz. bottles because I had ordered a quantity of 2 of the items described. I had a horrible time trying to get in touch with them because no one answers and the answering service disconnect you. I was offered a refund but have yet to get it.
