I love these air purifiers because I don't have to replace any expensive filters. I had the Turbo version before this one, but the ionizing wire on it broke and can't be replaced, which was really disappointing and a design flaw, in my opinion. Not long after, I started waking up in the morning with sinus pressure and headaches again, and I knew I needed to get a new purifier, but didn't have a lot of money. I thought this smaller one would maybe be okay for just my bedroom. I've only had it a few weeks, but so far, it works great, and I'm feeling better. I'm glad I got it. I haven't tried the car purifier yet.
This unit reminds me of an expensive one I purchased from a catalog years ago, smaller size but same technology! It works great in my bedroom, it's completely quiet and I have slept better and breath well. The car unit is great in traffic, better air quality inside the car!
I read the good reviews on this air cleaner before I bought it. I had an area about 500 sq ft and this air cleaner is suppose to be for 200 sq ft. I could not afford a larger one so I decided to try it anyway. I am pleased to report that it works great! We have 2 smokers and 2 cats and the air in my apartment was really bothering me. I noticed the clean smelling air in just a few hours after I turned it on. Very quiet also! Actually it is silent so I don't even know it is on. I will buy a smaller one for my bedroom but this model has cleaned the air in my main living area and that amazes me. I am very pleased with my purchase.
we have had two larger units in the house for over three years and they really help with air quality. no replacement filters just clean the blades. got the smaller size for the bedrooms. they came with the smaller bonus filter for the car. surprised that the smaller unit has no means to clean it like the larger version. wonder how long it will last.?...
I have two air purifiers in my bedroom. I call it my hermetically sealed room. I have lots of health problems. I am allergic to dust and grass. And, in TX there is nothing but dust and grass. I don't sneeze as much when I am in my room, because of the air purifiers. I have another one that has a carbon filter and a fan. I bought this one for the living room, where I spend alot of time. I plan to buy another one, for the living room.
I have really noticed a difference since purchasing this. My grandson dates a girl whose parents smoke and usually after he had visited her the smoke smell linger in our house from his clothes. the ionic pro cleans the air and the smoke smell is gone, and now the smoke does not trigger my asthma.
I was not expecting this to work as well as it does! I bought this for my apartment because the air smelt stale and felt heavy all the time. I have only had it for about a week and I love the difference it makes to the quality of the air. I was worried about having to spend over $100 as air purifiers are usually quite pricey but this is very well priced. I also love that I will not have to purchase replacement filters just cleaning the unit is the only maintenance it requires and it has a notification light on it to let you know when it's time to clean. The free car unit did not work when I tried it in my car the light did not go on so I am assuming it was defective. That aside this was a great purchase!
I have posted pics of the blades cleaned after the pics of them dirty. I have 2 smokers in the den with the purifier 8 x 22 ft room, the blades are cleaned with soapy water once a week. I have never seen the "needs to be cleaned' light come on but you can see how dirty it is weekly. It sounds a little like a bug zapper when it needs to be cleaned (I have only heard that little noise once). I used to pay almost $20 month for replacement filters and they did not keep the room odor free the next day. I thought it was worth the money and has paid for itself in 4 months and now I do not have to pay for replacements.
This purchase is a replacement of an identical unit. I does a very good job. We only use it in the Winter when the windows are closed. We keep it in the bedroom. I wanted the same unit because it is completely silent. I clean the blades 2-3 times during the Winter. It's an easy task.
