I am so happy with this printer! I went through several prior printers that kept not communicating with my phone or laptop and were constantly giving me trouble or running out of ink. The best printer I've had yet!
This is a great printer. I converted it to sublimation (I know, probably not recommended). I had a little trouble getting all the colors to print but followed recommended practices and now it is perfect.
I bricked my first Shaq printer by using non-Epson ink by mistake - long story. This new one 3830 is even better photo printing on Epson paper. It handles paper better than the first one -2760. It was easy to set up and to adjust the accuracy of the printing by following the prompts. I like that the ink lasted over two years and those little cartridges are a thing of the past. Don't know how the printer knows fake ink, but I will be sure to use the real ink in my new printer
This printer was very easy to set up. The EcoTank system saves so much money compared to buying and replacing cartridges, I will never go back to buying cartridges. This system works and it works well!
Printer does its job, works well and ink is easy to load. Having trouble syncing to ethernet to allow it to scan photos to my laptop. I still must tap the scan button on the printer for each photo before returning to the laptop to click and proceed with the scan. Awkward, and perhaps I haven't the skills to figure out a better way to do it, since I am an old fogey who doesn't always understand computers very well. But I do like the quality of print.
The ET-3830 replaces an older model Epson Printer, Scanner, Copier, and Fax. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that it doesn't come with a port that will accept a memory stick, like my old one. Have not scanned anything yet, so I hope the scan can be transferred to my MacBook using my wireless. The new ink system with individual tanks is awesome!
Nice printer that replaces a five year old ET-4750. This printer was a bit challenging to set up. No touch screen like the ET-4750. No fax capability either. Wish I had known that and if I had I would have considered a different printer. Disappointing. But, a pretty good printer overall.
I was excited to try out this printer because I use a primer very regularly and for many different reasons. Pictures, business cards, and many many regular paper printing needs. First off, the setting up process was so incredibly seamless I absolutely loved it. There's an app you download that helps you set it up and it talks to the printer. It's pretty cool and high tech! The printer itself is beautiful, but a bit heavy. The ink is very unique and I've never had to personally squeeze ink out of a bottle into the cartridge. It's a lot easier than it seems and you don't actually have to do anything, you position it with the cartridge and it stops flowing when it is full. No mess at all! Where my issues came in.. printing takes forever. It really does. I understand it's a color ink printer but even with just black ink, it took a while. That was a huge thing for me because I print out many documents at once and it took forever for each one. I do like that the printer can do front and back printing, it's super cool. But I just wish it didn't take so long. I also am unable to print business cards like I used to on my old printer. And it was a very basic ink Jet printer. This epson printer cannot handle card stock paper at all, each time I tried fo print, it would get jammed and I'd have to remove the back to get the paper out. That was also very disappointing because I was really looking forward fo printing my business cards with it. The printer has a lot of cool, high tech features but for me it isn't practical because I need to print a lot at once and I have used printers that can print on card stock so I know it's possible. This printer just isn't capable of that. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-3830 Wireless Color Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
It does a good job printing but hard to understand how to use other functions, very pricey for the little instructions and difficulty in using. It serves the purpose, but I don't think I would not buy again.
took too long to ship to me for such a big brand name, maybe put more funding toward shipping to locals than paying Shaq to run commercials. Upon receiving the package i noticed a bad smell of mold emanating from the box, i removed the printer and now my office reeks of it, i began to follow the directions on setting it up and followed it to the letter. after setting the PC up per instructions i installed the ink and printed a test page and it printed fine and then it asked to finish the setup by aligning something but could not continue because the paper tray was empty, i removed and replaced the paper several times as per the directions but still cant get the printer to see the paper to finish the alignments......back to setting up the PC i could not register the printer with the online registration because it refuses to accept the serial number saying its not a valid number, i tried many different formats adding and/or removing the (*) and checked several times on both the box and the printer and the numbers are the same so i had to skip that whole section. needless to say i can't use the printer that i bought to replace a printer i couldn't use....
