I received the Equate Body Wash within 4-5 days following placing the order with Walmart.com. The body wash is a good quality product at a reasonably good price, I would recommend to family and friends. I will order again in the future.
It absolutely is just as good - if not better - than the Dove brand. It lathers very well on a washcloth or a pouf without having to use a whole lot and leaves my skin very soft (and I don't really have naturally soft skin - kind of dry, actually). This + Equate brand "Lubriderm" = baby soft skin
Overall Rating: I absolutely LOVE this body wash. Ease of use: I agree with one of the other reviewers who suggested it would be nice to have a pump dispenser. I dont think having it labeled upside down would be a good idea because it would come out too quckly. Value for price paid: It is a good value for the money and is very comparable to the Olay, but way less expensive. Color appeal: Ummm... it's creamy white, and that's OK w/ me. :-) Value: Inexpensive and the bottle lasts quite a while. Quality: Although it says Moisturizing for Extra Dry Skin I have not found it to be greasy at all. Also, I am NUTS about the smell. It is very similar to the perfume I wear, which is Amarige by Givenchy. I have even had people who like that perfume recognize it when I am wearing only the body wash. DEFINITELY recommend this product, but it may be a bit on the sweet side for guys.
This is a great product if you have sensitve skin. Our dermatologist recommended this product, as well as the Dove brand for those that have eczema. It doesn't dry out the skin.
Why pay more? This smells great (slightly different than Dove) and moisturizes the same. I love this body wash as I work in a dry cold environment and dealing with winter weather. It doesn't irritate my skin, at all. Recommended if you're a fan of Dove and wanting to save a few $.
This is your standard body wash... great value for what you get. Non-scented, but I wish it did have a bit of a scent. Whole family uses it.
Pros- moisturizing, cost, consistency , sudsy, good for shaving, rinses off, value for the money. Cons- would like this to come in a pump bottle or with a bottom lid. For those of us who hate the sticky dry feel of bar soap, Equate moisturizing body wash for extra dry skin is a wonderful solution. I have been using this body wash for more than 5 years . I believe it was under the Wal-Mart great value logo at the time I first found it. A few years ago the packaging was changed and I was a little irritated because I had found a product that I liked, and thought it was not available any more. Well, New package with the new Wal-Mart equate brand, (I believe it is the same formula body wash).I was sold on it, I had the same great results .I really like how the wash feels on my skin. Here are my criteria for a good body wash: 1- Will it lather enough? It suds up nicely, I use it with a scrunchy. The wash doesn't leave a filmy, sticky feel after you rinse off. The consistency of this wash is nice, thick enough to use on a scrunchy, but thin enough to lather up and spread. Would like the suds to last a little longer. 2- Can I use it for shaving also? I also use this body wash for shaving, the moisturizing formula doesn't dry out or irritate my skin. I like to use this as much as a shaving cream. 3- Cost? Using a body wash compared to a bar soap used to seem like an expensive luxury. Because of the cost of this one about 3.25-3.50 a bottle, I decided to try it. Now I am hooked. 4- Does it rinse off? I cringe when, on occasion I have had to use a bar soap, I have also tried other body washes, and still keep coming back for more. ( of the Equate moisturizing for extra dry skin) Why quit a good thing. 5- Moisturizing? I have dry skin, so a moisturizing wash was a must for me. This formula is for extra dry skin, I like how my skin feels after use. I don't use other moisturizers very often. 6- Is the bottle easy to use wet? The bottle has some grip lines, and the label has a non- slippery texture. It has been easy to hold on to when wet. The top flips open easily. I would love to see this wash come in a pump bottle, or labeled upside down so the product is more readily available. Overall, this wash is great, I have tried more expensive brands, but really haven't been any more satisfied than I have with the Equate brand. I would be glad to recommend it to anyone who likes to pamper their self. This wash is also my husbands favorite.
Pours out too fasrt from container - wastes a lot of soap.
I used this product for quite some time until there was a change made to it. Now it smells like a soap bar and doesn't lather as well. I know lots of people used it because often I couldn't even find it on the shelf. I have gone to using a competitor's generic brand. I wish it wouldn't have been changed.
This product clearly states "Unscented" on the front of the bottle. Flip it over and read the ingredients, it includes "Fragrance". Last time I checked that is not unscented.
