My eyes are not red color anymore.I have had some allergies with the known products so I gave a try to Equate. After working with it for a month ,I would say that I will be stuck to it for a while. In summary, I would recommend it all the time.
Much lower price and it seems to work better than the brand name... Great going Walmart
I used to buy the name brand, but this is about half the price and does the job just fine.
This IS Bausch & Lomb Boston Original Formula rigid lens cleaner, with a different label, at a MUCH better price.
I have no complaints with this. It's cheap and does what it's supposed to.
This product really extends the life of my disposable contact lenses.
Best price at Walmart by far. I've been using this product for years with no complaints.
I am not allergic to anything in this product, and I have used it to clean my hard contacts for years and like it. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because they've changed the screw cap for one that is attached to the top. I have been trying for months and I can't open the bottle without touching the opening where the liquid comes out. Touching this can get bacteria into the product and is making contamination more likely. The screw cap was great, I never touched the opening with that style of cap. Same for the saline, they changed the cap on this also. I hope they will bring back the removable screw cap.
I normally use Bausch & Lomb contact lens cleaner (for gas-permeable lenses), and I recently ran out and thought I would give this Wal-Mart brand a try because it was more than $4 cheaper than the B&L. Well, that was a mistake. I couldn't use it any longer than 3 days and then had to return it to the store for a refund. I didn't notice anything unusual on the 1st night's use, but the 2nd night I used the product, my eyes really started itching, and the following morning when I woke up, not only were they still itching, but my eyelids were all red, puffy and swollen. Even the skin right underneath my eyes was swollen and looked like bags - I looked 10 years older! I dug the box back out of the trash and opened up the box to read all the writing on the box inside (they don't include a pamphlet), and I discovered that printed on the inside of the box, it said to watch for unusual signs as some people may experience allergic reactions due to the particular preservatives they chose to use in this product (preservatives that are apparently known to cause sensitivities and allergic reactions!). I didn't use the product again, but it took about 4 to 5 more days before my eye area looked normal again.
After applying the cleaner to your lens, you have to rinse away the cleaner before storing the lens. That's a bother to me because you don't have that step with B&L. And if you don't get it all off, it will burn and sting your eyes when you put the lens in the next morning. B&L is worth the extra dollar. The only reason I bought the Equate brand is because my Walmart goes through phases where the B&L daily cleaner is not available, and apparently everyone else snatches it up at other stores in town. So I end up having to buy it online. I am a big believer in the Equate brand, but I think this is an instance where the extra dollar or two is worth it in the end.
