There's no need for name brand, this equate brand shake has the same amount of protein and sugar as premier protein, and tastes just as good. I take them with me to my treatments at the cancer center in case I need a quick meal and don't want to eat.
I'm assuming they've changed the shake's formulation because I have to disagree with the negative reviews! This drink is very smooth %26 not overly sweet like most protein shakes which I love. The vanilla is mild %26 overall easy to drink. No weird chemical aftertaste or lingering flavors from the artificial sweeteners. Would buy again!
By default this was a replacement for the Vanilla Meal Replacement. Overpriced and tastes like dry sawdust. Perhaps a flavored will work! These will sit and the kids will use with chocolate syrup! Tired of wrong inventory listing on delivery and pickup orders! Good idea except crappy sustitution policy.
I regularly buy these shakes. About a month ago I noticed it was so thick you had to squeeze it out of the bottle. At first I thought I got a defective case. Then I bought a second and it was the same way!! I wrote customer service to see if the ingredients had changed. They responded and said someone will be in contact with me. I’ve heard nothing and it’s been about a week. Now I’m out $30 on two cases. I will not keep purchasing. It makes me want to gag while drinking now. The old version was so good, I wish they wouldn’t have changed it. I tried adding it to coffee and it clumps and sits at the bottom like sludge. It won’t even mix in. Don’t purchase unless they change it back!
I used to love this in my coffee. The product has changed and now it is like a thick pudding in a carton. I did call the customer service number and all she recommended was to add some milk to thin it out. No thank you or offer for a refund. I did get a refund when I returned the product at Walmart. Very disappointing.
Been using this for a few years. The taste was great and comparable to the brand names with a great price but now I’m experiencing the same thing as several other reviewers. The shakes are like pudding. Gone through one case and unfortunately have three more cases. Hoping not but if this is a batch issue, most likely all LOTS from that batch is bad. Not trusting this to drink even if it will thin out at room temperature, plus don’t want to drink it warm anyway. Not sure if I can trust it again if they don’t have better quality control or at least acknowledge the issue and recall and reimburse for the affected LOTS This LOT is L203430J
I had a similar experience to another reviewer named Mich under this product. I loved Equate protein shakes, I usually drink 2-3 throughout the day to meet my protein goals and I've ordered over 10 boxes in the past 3 months. In one of my drinks, I tasted something flaky and spit it out because I knew something wasn't right. I turned on my flashlight and looked inside the shake bottle to see some type of solvable plastic inside that would get mixed in with the drink every time you would go for a sip. I was absolutely disgusted and never experienced this in all of my times buying equate shakes. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted , not sure if I'll buy again. Plus, they recently marked up prices by 15% of the shakes so that doesn't help.
I have been buying this. Protein shake for 2 year and they must have changed the formula it is thick like pudding once it get cold, I tried 3 different cases with different expiration dates and all where the same. Now I have to find a new protein shake!
I was missing one and one was broken when it got her leaked all over my carpet so instead of replacing it there making me take it back to Walmart. Leaking and damaged so stupid. And do even get a replacement for the one I haven't gotten I have to wait just to make sure it doesn't come.
These were great at first, okay taste (very thick and a tad chalky) and easy to drink on-the-go. However, today my husband drank his before heading to work and nearly vomited! I could smell the container from across the kitchen and something was DEFINITELY BAD. It didn't expire until Feb. 2025 and we're in March 2024. So sad and disappointing, and now there's no way we can drink them without worrying if something is wrong with them. It was pretty bad. Yes, we can pour them out to check, but then that defeats the purpose of grabbing to drink on the go.
