Compare to Prilosec OTC. Stop the painful burning sensation of frequent heartburn before it begins with Equate Omeprazole Delayed Release Tablets 20 mg. Omeprazole is the #1 Active Ingredient for Frequent Heartburn (based on iRi sales volume among PPI products sold in the United States, for the 52 weeks ending 01/01/23). When used as directed for 14 days, Omeprazole prevents heartburn that is frequent in nature and provides long-lasting, 24-hour relief so you can enjoy every moment with family and friends. This heartburn medicine may take one to four days for full effect, although some people get complete relief of symptoms within 24 hours. Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs), like Omeprazole, work differently from antacid tablets and other acid reducer pills. These heartburn relief treatments only neutralize the stomach acid and provide shorter relief (less than 24 hours). Omeprazole stops acid production at the source, preventing the acid that causes heartburn symptoms for relief that lasts all day and night. This heartburn medicine is a 14-day course of treatment that should be taken once every 24 hours for 14 days to treat frequent heartburn flare-ups. For adults 18 years and older suffering from frequent heartburn that occurs two or more days a week.
#1 Active Ingredient: Omeprazole is the #1 Active Ingredient for Frequent Heartburn (based on iRi sales volume among PPI products sold in the United States, for the 52 weeks ending 01/01/23). Compare to Prilosec OTC. 24-Hour Relief: Heartburn happens when stomach acid refluxes into the esophagus, causing uncomfortable heartburn symptoms. When taken as directed, this 24-hour treatment helps to relieve the painful burning sensation of frequent heartburn symptoms. Frequent Heartburn Relief: For frequent heartburn that occurs two or more days a week, take once every 24 hours for 14 days. This heartburn medicine is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn and may take one to four days for full effect. Physician Recommended: Omeprazole is a PPI, the #1 Physician Recommended type of OTC acid reducer (of U.S. physicians surveyed by an independent market research firm); FSA/HSA eligible. Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI): Each dose of Omeprazole deactivates pumps in the stomach lining to inhibit acid production (and its overproduction) at the source.

Great product.......however it took 17 days to receive this product at the heighth of the Pandemic through my Medicare Insurance Plan. I was out of the product for 2 and a half weeks and had a very difficult time with acid reflux.....excruciatingly painful, loss of sleep, stomach issues while waiting on the product. Delay after delay, seemed like an eternity before product arrived in the mail. 8 different text showing another delay.
I have been taking omeprazole for years, first from my doctor, and he told me to get it over the counter cause it is available, so i started buying it over the counter and it works as good as the phriscription from the doc, so anyone thinking of taking it should try and see. It takes care of reflux great, some times i get hickups from it but its just a couple of hicks and it over, great product
Same medication as Prilosec® for about 25% lower cost. The packaging has been changed for the better, too, from difficult-to-open blisters to bottles.
I was taking a prescription for esomeprazole 40 mgs daily costing over $30.00 a month. After checking with my Dr. I was given the okay to change to 20 mg and take the Equate version. I have noticed I feel no different than I did when taking the more expensive version, and am paying less than half the cost for larger a larger quantity.
I've used this product for several years and it has proven highly effective for me. Walmart has the best price around. You save $3.00 off the best price I've ever found.
I get pretty bad heartburn and have acid reflex. This is the only thing that I have found that actually works. This does not work instantly, but rather helps to prevent it from happening, I take it for so many days, it gets it in control then I take stop taking it until it comes back. When first starting back up , I take Tums or Gaviscon for instant relief,. This works great for me
I have been using this product every day for several years. It works just as well as Prilosec and is a lot cheaper. It is recommended by my doctor and pharmacist.
I have rated this product highly, but I have only taken one course. So far, all is well. I was taking the name brand for years, and I was hesitant to switch, but the value of this product was the deciding factor. I have not had any acid flare-ups since taking the equate product.
This medicine saves my life each and every day. If I don't take it for one day my heart burn will be out if control but this medicine allows me to go though each day heart burn free !
This product is fine for what it is used for. My problem is is was a "local" delivery. Meaning it came from a local Walmart. Kind of ironic they include a photo of the address that they delivered it to, yet the address in the photo is NOT my address. I am hoping I can get it from the address in the photo. Do your delivery people know how to read? The photo below is where they left it... not my address
